
Deep Peace Of The Quiet Earth To You...

This meditation is based on an ancient Celtic Blessing, rooted in nature, and is the first in a series of four Celtic Blessings offered by Judith; each one based on one of the elements of nature. This message of Deep Peace of the Quiet Earth focuses on the supportive nature of the earth element and its many inner-strengthening attributes in humanity that bring a sense of calm at any time, especially when one is stressed.

Thank you for joining me in this Celtic Blessing Meditation Series as we focus on the deep piece of the Earth element.
Please close your eyes as you prepare for meditation with no responsibilities other than to listen to my voice and follow my suggestions.
I begin today with another phrase of welcome to you which goes like this,
Deep peace of the quiet Earth to you.
These words may be quite familiar to you.
They're taken from an ancient Gaelic blessing,
Also referred to as a Celtic blessing originating in Ireland,
Where it's believed that all their blessings were rooted in nature.
To make this meditation even more meaningful for us,
Let us dedicate it to our global neighbors,
Friends and family in Ukraine with a desire to return peace to their land.
So we'll begin by visualizing the Earth element as a stabilizing grounding energy that is always available to us.
So let's get comfortable and relaxing in whatever position you like to relax for meditation.
And in doing so,
It's important to recognize that we align with Earth energy unconsciously all of the time.
Like right now,
For example,
As you adjust your foundational support to sit in meditation,
Making sure it's completely comfortable for you,
So that you are well supported,
Just like the Earth supports the home and building you're living in.
Quietly supporting you,
Asking nothing from you,
Just supporting you.
Simply ignored in its silence and forgotten about,
Yet in this moment in meditation,
We are remembering as we direct our thoughts to the peace of the quiet Earth beneath and surrounding you,
Your home you're living in now,
Quietly supporting you with its peace.
So let's take a deep breath of acknowledgement and gratitude now for this.
Breathing slowly through your nose,
Perhaps even holding on to your breath or a count of four or so.
And then breathing slowly through your mouth to a count of six perhaps.
And then repeating this a couple of more times on your own.
Breathing slowly in and slowly out.
And notice your upper body,
Shoulders,
Arms and neck beginning to relax into this supportive position.
And let's take one more deep breath,
Breathing in and breathing out.
Relaxing your face and lower jaw as we continue.
And I'd like you to imagine your physical body as your inner home,
Where this supportive position is grounding you in its firm foundation.
So please place your self-care hands on your upper legs now,
So your upper body can physically connect with the natural support you have living within your lower body that supports you just as the Earth supports the home you are living in.
And now with hands comfortably resting on your upper legs,
Just let yourself relax into this comfortable self-care position.
Again,
Shoulders lowered,
Jaw loose,
And focus your mind on each of the areas of your lower body that support you as I guide you to each area of your foundation,
Beginning with your hips that support you when they're at the back of your chair if you're sitting,
Lining your spine with the back of your chair also,
Again,
If you're sitting in a chair,
Keeping your back supported and stressless as you sit.
Be aware of this now as you take a deep breath into this alignment of your hips and back as you sit,
Noticing how they feel.
And move your focus to where your hands are resting on your thighs,
Your thighs being your foundational powerhouse,
Allowing you to stand up from a seated position or after squatting down.
Again,
Be aware of the strength of your foundation as you take a slow and deep breath into your thighs.
And now focus on your knees that offer flexibility in your lower body movement and sitting and standing and walking such an important part of your foundational strength and flexibility.
So please breathe into your knees now and acknowledge the support that they give you.
And finally,
Bring your focus to your lower legs that connect you to your feet,
The part of you that directly connects with the earth.
In your outdoors in nature,
Walking on Earth's surface,
So that from hips to toes like the earth element,
Your body's foundational structure carries you in all your movements and supports you now as you are seated in meditation.
Take another slower breath into this support and gratitude.
And now please relax into your imagination that it is summer and that you're seated comfortably somewhere in a natural setting where you enjoy spending time.
And please imagine that your feet are directly resting in soft,
Warm earth outdoors.
The weather is perfect in this space.
Your feet are enjoying the sensation of touching the warm and velvety texture of the earth.
As you wiggle your toes to let every part of each foot experience this feeling and just enjoy this thought for a moment.
And now let's begin to draw upon this natural earth energy and feel it easily entering the soles of your feet even more as you take a slower and deeper breath.
And just enjoy the sensation of earth energy filling both your feet now.
And perhaps another deep breath in just to accentuate this.
Earth energy that supports the life of seeds and plants and the growth of enormous trees.
This is the energy you are breathing as you imagine this nutrient rich healing energy of the earth entering your body through the soles of your feet.
And imagine how this warm earth energy is feeding you now through the soles of your feet with its natural strength.
The strength that grows enormous trees.
Feel its strength within you rising up from your feet.
Moving slowly upwards into your lower legs,
Into your knees,
Into your thighs beneath your hands,
And into your hips.
Feeling your foundational structure of your body with warmth and strength.
And breathe into this strength now.
This strength is the foundation of your being.
The strength of foundational support you have within you.
This elemental energy of the earth that you can draw upon anytime is present with you now for it is supporting you always.
Just continue to gently breathe into this comforting sensation in silence.
We'll turn your imagination to winter now and to indoors for the parts of the world where we have to be indoors in winter.
Sensing the warmth from your hands against your inner foundation as you sit.
Breathing quietly and comfortably for another moment in silence and in full awareness of the solidness and the strength of your foundation and the comfort of your body.
And now let's focus on the foundational supports you currently have that help you to live as comfortably as possible.
Just listen as I name a few of these that are beyond the comforts of your home and warmth and food.
Things like the people in your life who mean the most to you.
Your pet if you have one or more.
Your life's work.
And the use of your natural talents.
Nature and all its meaning for you.
Just to name a few.
These are all foundational supports that ground you and offer you strength and courage and peace.
They also offer to bring light into your life and uplift you.
So why don't we take a moment now to acknowledge these supports in your own mind,
Putting names to the people and activities that make these supports real for you.
And adding what else you value as part of your personal support system and your foundational way of being.
And I'll just pause here for a moment and allow you to do that.
So And this exercise may wish to continue for a while after meditation to think about all of these foundational supports that you have.
Let's just deeply breathe into the feeling these supports give you now.
And the light that they bring to you and help you to feel within yourself.
Supporting you the way the quiet earth supports your home or the trees that you can see from your window.
They are your rock,
Your foundation.
And feel a sense of deep peace that these supports allow you to feel as we focus on them.
Helping you live from the very best part of your inner home space where peace resides.
And let's take this next moment to share this sense of peace with others in the world who are needing it now,
Especially the peoples of Ukraine.
Peace in the form of light that is shining out from your thoughts and floating easily.
And imagine this light being received by those in need and internalized as a sense of deep peace arising within them also.
And just relax for a final moment in silence.
And now slowly return your conscious awareness back to your home that surrounds you.
And bring your hands together in front of your chest in the Namaste position with palms facing inwards,
Eyes still closed.
As we reflect upon our opening words again with more appreciation of their meaning this time.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you and to all the peoples of the world.
May these words inspire you today.
And may they remind you of the light and the strength of the light that you carry within you always and that carries you also.

Loving and gentle with yourself and with all you meet.
