Transcript

In this meditation we will attempt to feel the presence of Reiki whether or not you are a Reiki practitioner.

Simply follow my guidance.

We will begin by assuming a comfortable position that you can sustain during our time together.

When you are comfortable,

I would like you to place your two hands with your palms facing together in what is known in Reiki as the Gassal position,

The position assumed for group meditation and for receiving an attunement to Reiki.

Allow yourself to feel relaxed in this position.

I find that with my head slightly bowed and my fingertips touching my chin or my mouth,

I am more comfortable than if I attempt to hold my body erect.

Reiki energy flows most easily when our bodies and minds are completely relaxed,

Open and free to both give and receive.

So assuming this is the position you are in now and relaxing,

Let's take a slower and deeper breath together in through your nose and out through your mouth.

So let's begin in through your nose and out through your mouth.

And again in and out and in and out.

So hold the Gassal position together for a few moments as we allow our bodies to completely relax into the quiet that surrounds us,

The quiet that comforts us,

The quiet that supports us this day or night.

And in this quiet,

Safe and sacred space we are creating in our minds,

We give thanks for the opportunity to share the healing presence and benefits of Reiki during this meditation.

Feeling it relaxing our face,

Our eyes and eyelids,

Cheeks,

Mouth,

Lower jaw,

And our shoulders.

Softening your shoulders,

Arms,

Hands and fingers,

Torso.

And now breathing and relaxing into your pelvis and hips,

Releasing any tension in your thighs,

Lower legs,

Feet and toes.

And now let's take another slower and even deeper breath together.

Breathing in and breathing out.

And in and out.

And one more time in and out.

And now into our relaxing bodies and minds we invite the presence of Reiki energy to flow freely and easily within us.

Gently seeping into all our innermost corners with its unassuming healing energy.

Awakening our inner healing center to the presence of Reiki already within us.

Awakening our body and mind to welcome and receive its divine healing presence and energy into our awareness.

Shedding light,

Love and peace on all that we hold within us today.

Comforting us with its divine presence and energy.

Relieving us with its divine presence and energy.

Reassuring us with its divine presence and energy.

Liberating us with its divine energy and presence.

For our highest good and for the highest good of all whom we hold in our hearts,

In our minds and in our bodies.

And now I'd like you to please move your hands to your chest and place your palms against your chest in a comfortable position.

And continue to breathe the presence of Reiki healing energy into your body and mind.

Allowing yourself to be completely open to receive the healing presence of Reiki that is available for you now within this sacred space you have created within your mind.

Welcome.

Palms together gently and placed in front of your chest.

And raise your head up now,

Eyes remaining closed.

And focus your mind on a sense of gratitude for your experience today.

Allow the reiki induced presence of gratitude to circulate throughout your body and mind.

As you consciously breathe that sensation in and out.

And within this feeling of gratitude now flowing easily throughout your body and mind.

Feel also the presence of peace that naturally follows gratitude.

And breathe this healing sensation of peace easily throughout your body and mind in and out.

And within this centering and warm feeling of peace now flowing easily throughout your body and mind.

Now flowing freely and easily within you.

Feel also the reiki induced sensation of goodwill that naturally follows peace.

And breathe this sensation of goodwill throughout your body and mind.

Breathing in and breathing out.

As you leave the threshold of this meditation shortly.

Gently carry the energy associated with your feelings of gratitude,

Peace and goodwill into your day.

These are the natural healing effects of the reiki presence you have been breathing throughout this meditation.

So try to continue to quietly and consciously share your gratitude,

Peace and goodwill as simply as breathing.

With everyone you meet or think about today.

And I leave you now with a new precept for a reiki lifestyle.

Just for today.

Be a champion of gratitude,

Peace and goodwill.
