It's time for a 5-minute reflection.
I have been making progress in my life,
I've been making changes,
I've been doing things differently,
Carving a new path for myself,
A healthier,
More loving path for myself.
And I'm just going to reflect right now and give myself credit for the decisions I've made lately that are amazing,
Simply amazing.
I give myself credit for my food choices,
The foods I've been eating.
I give myself credit for my use of time and the way I've been disciplined.
I give myself credit for the way I've been exercising and taking care of my body and making sure I take time to give my body attention and get my heart rate going and tap into my muscles.
I give myself credit for my mental clarity and the things I've been doing for mental clarity.
I give myself credit for my spiritual practices and staying grounded and centered.
I give myself credit for all the pivots I've made,
All the relationships I've taken a step back from,
And all the ways I've taken a step forward with myself.
I give myself credit for all the ways I've been taking action to reach my goals and even the goals I have not yet achieved.
I am making progress,
I am on my way there,
I am on that path and I need to keep going on that path.
I give myself credit for not allowing myself to continue in suffering,
That I monitor and manage my emotions and my thoughts so that I stay calm and I coach myself through hard moments.
I give myself credit for being a better coach to myself.
I give myself credit for being a better friend to myself.
I give myself credit for being someone who can accept and forgive myself very quickly and keep going,
That I don't just brew and stew and different things,
But I'm able to get back up and keep on the path.
I give myself credit for being someone who focuses on progress,
Knowing that,
Yes,
Three steps forward,
Two steps back,
Three steps forward,
Two steps back,
Ain't fun,
But it's progress and it's getting me closer and closer and closer to my goals,
To my desires,
To the way I want to live.
I give myself credit for handing myself strategies and tools and patterns and new habits that are setting me up for success.
I know and remember the way I used to be,
And I know I'm a long way from where I want to be,
But I give myself so much credit for how far I've come,
For what I've been doing,
For how I've just been taking step after step after step,
Sometimes baby step after baby step,
But it's all on the path I want to take.
I give myself credit today and I encourage myself to just keep on going.
