Hello,
Everyone.
Thank you so much for joining me today.
Now,
If you haven't yet,
Find yourself a spot where you can just relax,
Feel at ease and hopefully not be distracted.
You could either sit or lie down.
You can be on your bed,
Your couch,
Your chair,
The floor,
Wherever you are.
Just start to let your whole body sink into the surface beneath it.
Just allow your whole body,
All of your muscles to settle in and feel easy.
Go ahead and close your eyes if that feels good.
We're going to spend a few moments first just relaxing all of our body,
All of our muscles,
And then we're going to smile together.
Let's start with the forehead area.
All of your face muscles,
Let everything become loose.
Unclench anything,
Whether it's your eyes,
Your jaw,
Whatever might feel tight in your whole face area.
Just let it relax.
Go ahead and take a nice long inhale,
A full and complete exhale with your mouth open or closed.
Let's do this again,
A nice long inhale,
A full,
Complete exhale.
Work down to your shoulder area.
Let them fall away from your ears a bit,
Your neck.
Feel the looseness and softness in your neck and in your throat.
Work down to your chest,
To your arms and hands.
Feel the easiness,
Softness,
Looseness in all these muscles,
To your stomach.
Unclench any muscles in your stomach and around your back.
Let your back feel open,
Soft,
Loose.
Down to your hips,
Pelvis.
Again,
Sinking into that surface beneath your body.
Let your body feel just heavy and still.
Take that relaxation all the way down your legs into your feet and toes.
Let's go ahead and do another nice long inhale.
Full and complete exhale.
Go ahead and sigh this out through your mouth.
Another inhale.
Fully exhale.
Let your breathing just become natural.
Don't think about it.
Just let it come as it will.
Now on your next inhalation,
I want you to slowly turn your mouth into a smile.
Let this smile travel up to your eyes and forehead.
As you exhale,
Leave this smile on your face.
As you breathe,
Let this smile travel down to your heart space and stay here for a while.
Feel the smile just lightening up and warming up your whole heart and chest.
Smiling has so many benefits and rewards.
I'll name just a few here as we relax and breathe and smile.
Smiling can help to lower stress.
Smiling can elevate your mood.
Smiling can boost your immune system.
Smiling can reduce pain.
Smiling helps you stay positive.
Smiling helps others to feel good.
These are just a few.
Even if it doesn't feel genuine when you smile or begin to smile,
Even if you aren't in the mood to smile,
It's a great habit to get into.
Because I tell you,
It really will eventually change your mood and shift your mood,
Shift your mindset.
Such a simple,
Simple act.
Take another long,
Deep inhale.
Full exhale.
If it feels good to you,
Continue to smile for as long as you can.
Slowly wiggle your hands and your feet.
Open your eyes.
Have a most beautiful day,
My friends.
Keep smiling.
Namaste.
