Hello,
Thank you for spending some time with me today and taking just a few moments to calm our busy minds.
Sometimes we just need a brief time out from our day so that we can quiet the chatter in our brains and let go of the constant thinking that so often consumes us.
So let's begin by getting comfortable,
Ideally in a quiet space where you can completely relax and not be disturbed.
Just get into whatever position feels good,
Whether sitting or lying down on your couch or on your bed or on a cushion on the floor.
Just settle into that space.
Now let's take a few moments to connect with our breathing.
Feel the breath coming in and feel it going out.
Just allow yourself to be here for a moment,
Really becoming in tune with your breathing.
And now I invite you to scan your body,
Starting from your head,
Working down to your toes,
Taking notice of anything that may feel stiff or tense or maybe painful and linger a bit longer in those areas,
Sending those places loving kindness and acceptance and knowing that every single part of our body deserves attention,
Appreciation and respect.
And just spend as much time scanning your body as you need.
And now,
Let's take a few moments to connect with our breathing.
For a moment,
Let's become mindful of our breath.
Taking a nice and deep inhalation,
Exhaling completely out all the way through the ends of your feet.
And again,
A nice deep inhale and letting everything out,
Letting it go all the way out through the ends of your feet.
Just find a breath that feels natural and comfortable.
And now I would like for you to gently bring your mind to something that brings a smile,
Joy,
Comfort,
Satisfaction.
This can be anything at all.
It can be a person,
A place,
A pet or maybe an achievement or an accomplishment,
Anything at all that lights you up.
Now hold this image and allow it to fill up your whole being.
Using your vibration and your energy.
And now,
Let's take a moment to connect with our breathing.
And now,
Let's come back to the breath.
And this time on the inhale,
Bring in calm and ease.
And exhale any stress,
Anxiety or worry right out through the ends of your feet.
And again,
Inhaling calm and ease.
Exhaling away any stress,
Anxiety or worry.
Again,
Inhaling in calm,
Peaceful ease.
This time as you exhale,
Keep this peaceful and calm,
Easiness close to you.
And let's continue this for a few moments.
Every cell of your body.
Should now be resonating a calm,
Easy,
Peaceful warmth.
Every nook and cranny glowing with your own beautiful,
Calm energy.
I welcome you to come back to this meditation anytime you need some assistance in getting back to this calm and safe place.
Now slowly bring your attention back to your body and breath and to your space.
Gently wiggle your hands and feet.
Maybe do a nice easy stretch.
Let's take another nice deep inhalation.
Exhaling out all the way.
Gently open your eyes.
May this calmness reside in you for the rest of your day and night.
