So let's begin,
Seated comfortably.
Sitting with a tall spine,
Our sit bones rooted down to the ground beneath us,
With a surface beneath us.
Maybe rock forward and back a little bit just to find the optimal center,
That tallest spine.
Beautiful now,
From here.
Allow your eyes to gently close.
Notice any thoughts circulating in your mind.
Any lingering worries,
Any anticipations.
Notice how your body feels.
Any areas of fullness or tightness.
Areas of relaxation.
Now bring all your attention to the breathless self,
The life force.
Each inhale,
Each exhale.
Notice the temperature of the air.
Notice the natural rhythm of your breath.
Notice the way your belly expands on the inhale and contracts on the exhale.
Now bring your inner gaze.
To the third eye area,
The space right between the eyebrows.
Really focused there,
Like a laser beam.
Continuing to breathe steadily.
Continuing to sit tall.
Eyes are rolled up and in.
With this focus.
I invite you to pose a question to yourself,
To your deep inner knowing.
The question is,
What message?
Am I ready to receive?
So pose this question.
What message am I ready to receive?
While keeping the gaze.
While keeping the posture.
While keeping the breath.
Continue to repeat this question.
Allowing it to settle.
Allowing the answer to come organically.
So rather than trying to fill in the blanks or force an answer,
Just continue to ask the question.
What message are you ready to receive?
If they're not already.
Allow your hands to turn face up so that the palms are in a place of receptivity.
As you continue to repeat this question.
Just feel this space.
This ability to receive.
To listen.
And soften your body.
Soften your shoulders.
Soften the belly.
As you continue to breathe and continue to sit tall.
Our eyes are rolled up and in.
And you're sitting with this question.
Perhaps an answer has come.
Perhaps not.
At times the answer will come to us.
An hour,
A day,
Even a week later.
But by simply sitting.
Posing the question and being open.
We are creating a space of receptivity.
A space of learning how to connect to our deepest self.
Our deepest inner knowledge.
That place that we often ignore or second-guess.
A place of intuition.
Now let the question go.
Let the inner gaze relax.
And with the eyes still closed,
Reach your fingertips up toward the stars.
Just really reach and deepen your breath.
We're taking three breaths here.
And on the final exhale,
Gently release your hands down slowly,
Gracefully.
Now allowing the hands to be face down on the knees.
And gently blink your eyes open.
Take in the light of the room.
Notice what's in front of you.
Notice its color,
Its shape,
Its meaning.
Beautiful job.
We did a deep but brief meditation to connect to our inner knowing.
And I encourage you,
If you have time,
To take this opportunity to just journal,
Free write,
See what comes.
Thank you so much for meditating with me.
I wish you well.
