Susan Meyer

Susan Meyer integrates nature photography, writing, mindful awareness, and energy work to support presence, awakening, and well-being. She is a contemplative creative whose deep interest in the nature of consciousness, coupled with an appreciation for the natural world, informs both her art and teaching. She is the author of the book River Time: Mindful Reflections from the Upper Hudson, in which she explores the intersection of mindfulness and the natural world, blending poetic insight with visual storytelling. Susan trained formally with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield and completed both the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program and the Mindfulness Mentor Training Program. She began teaching just prior to the coronavirus pandemic and maintains an active teaching schedule, online and in-person. This is absolutely life-changing for me. I am 55 years old and I have struggled with this my entire life. I’ve been in therapy for decades, but after taking a few years off and re-engaging with a new therapist… She used the word narcissism in relationship to my mother . Then Insight Timer brought your Meditation to me as a recommendation. I listened and could hardly breathe by the time it was over. I could relate to absolutely every single word. Thank you so much for the healing work you’ve obviously done on yourself and the hard earned wisdom you’re bringing to us all. This journey can be a particularly painful one as a seeker on the spiritual path. Concepts of forgiveness in the context of spiritual bypassing have taken me down the wrong path for many many years. In the past three years or so I’ve come to realize this healing work needs to happen in order for me to have this next season of my life… Midlife… be the new beginning myself and my partner deserve to have together. Thank you again. I will listen to this again and probably many times thereafter. Know that you have touched one person‘s life today. I appreciate what you put forward in the world.🙏🏼
