Cosa imparerai
This short course offers a simple, guided approach to using creativity as a form of mindfulness and emotional release. Through a combination of drawing, reflective writing, and gentle awareness practices, you’ll be guided to slow down, express what’s present, and create space within your mind and body. This is not about artistic skill or creating something perfect; it’s about allowing thoughts and feelings to move naturally, without overthinking or judgment. There are 3 video course exercises to explore, either all in one day. Or ideally, one each day at your desk at work when your mind is racing, and you need an escape. This course will help you regulate better using mindfulness and art. Take this time for yourself, move at your own pace, and allow the experience to unfold in a way that feels supportive for you.

Lezione 1
Introduction To Mindfulness And 2 Exercises To Help You Become Aware Of Your Emotions
In this video, I explain what mindfulness is: becoming aware of your busy mind. We also touch on two exercises that help you become more aware of your thoughts and feelings. And I encourage you to practice both exercises at the end of this lesson. In this video, I talk about the mindfulness practices of: - Walking Meditation - Art Therapy, or Mindful Drawing, or colouring in These practices help you become aware of your mental exhaustion. They help clear your mind and balance your emotions.
Lezione 2
Art As A Form Of Creative Expression And Not Performance - Creative Drawing Exercise
In this video, I explain art as a form of creative expression and not as performance. We will be drawing a mandala-like picture. As we become more aware of our thoughts and feelings, we use this technique to capture them in the art work/drawing. Starting in the middle and drawing out. Allowing you to focus on the present, rather than going back. You move forward with your artwork and fill up the page. Please keep your drawing safe for the next exercise in the next lesson.
Lezione 3
Release Of Your Thoughts And Feelings With Journaling And Automatic Writing Technique
In this video, we use our creative exercises (art works) from the previous video, combined with a journaling exercise of automatic writing. I explain in the video the technique of automatic writing and how to do it. This is also used in mindfulness to release our minds from all the burdens trapped inside by writing them on a piece of paper. You just put pen to paper and write anything and everything from your mind. Use your artwork from the previous lesson. Fill up the spaces with words and/or write at the back. Please keep this safe for the next lesson, as we will be using it for the final lesson, where we will use a technique called catharsis. See you in the next and final lesson.
Lezione 4
Purging And Cleansing Of Emotions - Catharsis Technique
In this final video lesson, I explain all the tools we have used over the last 3 lessons. We will be using our journaled artwork from the previous lesson for this technique. I explain in the video what catharsis means and how it helps you to be more aware and develop mindfulness. We also practice non-attachment to our artwork through this process. You feel much lighter at the end of this lesson and course. And you are always welcome to come back and refresh your mind and practice again anytime.
