I invite you to find a comfortable seat and to close your eyes if you are able to do so and start to bring your awareness to your breath,
Breathing in and out of the nose to start,
Taking a moment to turn in and connect with yourself,
Being fully here in the present moment.
Bring your awareness to your forehead and let go of any tension in the forehead.
Now bring your awareness to your jaw,
Unclench your jaw and open the mouth slightly to allow the jaw to release and now bring your awareness to your shoulders and let the shoulders slide down the back and be heavy.
Now place your awareness on your heart center,
The middle of your chest,
Noticing if there is any tightness or constriction in the chest and gently let that go.
Now begin to take a few slow,
Deep breaths into the chest,
Feeling the chest rise and expand as you inhale and slowly fall and contract as you exhale,
Letting each breath be full and wide and feel as though the breath is clearing out this area of your heart center,
Removing anything that is no longer serving you.
Now begin to visualize a green light growing in the center of your chest.
Notice that the vibrancy of this green light is glowing brighter and brighter as you fine tune your awareness to this chakra.
Now start to imagine a beautiful,
Warming sensation in the chest being generated by this bright,
Shining ball of green light and start to cultivate feelings of love and compassion,
Love for yourself and love for others,
Allow this light to glow and expand,
Maybe place one or both hands on your heart center.
Now take a moment to acknowledge the heart and everything it does.
It's constantly beating,
Constantly working,
Even when we sleep,
Ensuring that we wake up every morning so we can enjoy this beautiful life,
Feeling this radiant energy in the heart chakra.
Allow this energy to completely fill up this space and imagine a bright green beam of light shining through your chest,
Radiating self-love.
Now repeat these affirmations.
I am worthy and deserving of love.
I give and receive love with ease.
I accept myself exactly as I am.
I forgive myself for what I did when I was in survival mode.
I let go of hate,
Grief,
And heartache.
I let love guide me.
I let love in.
Now take a deep breath and inhale through your nose.
Open the mouth and exhale,
Sigh it out.
Take another deep breath,
Inhale.
Open the mouth and exhale with a sigh.
Let it go.
I invite you to carry the energy of love and compassion with you the rest of your day.
And when you are ready,
Gently open your eyes and come back into the room.
