Nadi is a Sanskrit word meaning “channel” and shodhana is “purifying” or “cleansing.” This is a "channel purifying breathing exercise," aimed at balancing the psychophysiology by clearing the subtle channels of the mind-body system. It reduces stress and anxiety, rejuvenates the nervous system, balances the left and right hemispheres of the brain, and brings mental clarity and focus. This practice is suitable for most. Contraindications include cold, flu, fever, or blocked sinuses.
