Trauma Release Meditation Close your eyes gently.
Take a slow breath in and hold.
Exhale through your mouth with a soft sigh.
Again,
Breathe in and out with a sigh.
And once again.
Let yourself feel the weight of your body being held by the ground,
The chair,
Or the bed,
Or the couch.
You don't need to hold on to anything right now.
This is holding you.
It is a conscious energy just like you are.
It's cradling you,
Holding you,
And you are safe.
Bring your awareness to your feet.
And notice the sensation,
Warmth,
Coolness,
Or nothing at all of your feet.
Slowly move that awareness up to your body.
Your ankles,
Your calves,
Your knees,
Your thigh,
Your hip.
Feel the tension or discomfort.
And just notice it as you scan your body.
Your torso,
Your arms,
Your chest,
Your shoulder,
Your neck,
Your face.
Wherever that might be,
Whatever you are comfortable with.
Through your belly and your heart center.
Is there tightness?
Imagine you're sending your breath there,
A body breath.
As you gently loosen any tension and exhale with a sigh.
Say silently or out loud,
It's safe to let go a little more today.
I don't need to carry what isn't mine.
The past is not happening now.
This moment is new.
Now,
If emotions rise,
Let them.
You can whisper,
I'm here.
I'm okay.
This can move through me.
I am a vessel.
I send it to the universe and let the universe,
God,
My guides,
Angels take care of me.
Imagine with every exhale,
You're releasing one thread of tension.
One drop of old energy out and away.
Now,
Let's reset your nervous system.
Visualize your body like a lake.
The surface may have ripples,
But underneath there is calm,
Stillness,
Depth.
The sky is yours.
It is your future.
Your blue sky.
Hold it.
Embody it.
Embrace it.
Be it.
And whisper gently,
My body is remembering safety.
I can feel and still be okay.
I'm allowed to heal in layers.
I'm allowed to heal in layers at my own pace.
Begin to bring awareness back to the room.
Wiggle and squiggle.
Stretch if you like.
And say one more final affirmation.
I am strong.
To stay within myself.
This moment is proof I am healing.
You are safe.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
And just rest.
Namaste.
