Hey guys,
In this meditation we're going to be exploring your unique journey and what is most important to you and how to stay on track.
It'll help you stay focused with powerful intention.
So start off by shaking out your body.
Give me those shoulders,
Shake out your hands and arms and head.
Give your whole upper body,
Your legs a little shimmy,
A little shake and take a beautiful big breath in.
Side all the way out.
Just like that.
Big breath in.
Big breath out.
Come to sit in any position that feels the most comfortable.
Begin to relax your toes and your feet.
Soften your ankles and relax your calves.
Melt through your knees.
Soften through your hips.
Allow your belly to rise and fall with every inhale and every exhale.
Gently release through your fingers and your hands.
Soften your shoulders.
Drop your jaw away from your face and feel your eyelids soft and heavy.
We're going to bring ourselves onto a path.
It can be any kind of path you like,
A gravel path,
Forest path,
A bike trail,
Whatever you naturally envision.
See it there in front of you.
As you walk down this path,
I want you to invite some things to join you.
Find everything you value most about your life and yourself.
See them join you on your path,
Whether they're right in front of you,
Behind you or walking along with you.
Spend a little bit of time listing and noting all of those things you value and all the things that are important to you in your life and the journey you're on right now.
See them there on your path,
Glowing and shining as you look at them with love.
And now I want you to think about all the reasons they're on the path with you.
Think of all the reasons why they're important to you,
Starting with the first thing you brought with you on your path.
See it there in front of you and list all the reasons it's important to you.
Spend a little bit of time thinking about this.
When you're ready,
You can move on to the next thing you value,
Again listing all the reasons that's important to you and why you have it on your path with you.
Go through all the things you have on your path as you continue to think about and list the reasons you value these things most.
Bring a little smile onto your face,
Knowing that these things you treasure most are already in your life.
Now,
You're going to step off the path and see it from afar or from a bird's eye view.
Notice that alongside this path,
There are some weeds bordering the sides.
These signify all the ways our lives are tough and often challenging.
They show us the things that bring us down,
The people we compare ourselves to,
The expectations we put on ourselves,
The mean things we might catch ourselves saying.
Just go ahead and remove some of those weeds.
Pick them up,
Recycle them off to the side,
And notice they are not on your path,
They are simply bordering it.
Everything on your path is safe for you to nurture and love.
Use this as a reminder that there will always be tough times to contend with,
But they do not have to power over our path and what is most important to our journey.
The weeds simply border our lives and we can tend to them along the way,
Picking them out,
Clearing our border and sorting out the mess and clutter to enjoy what really matters.
Take a nice big breath in,
Sigh it out and gently blink your eyes open.
Come back into your surroundings,
Begin to move your body with a little smile on your face.
