In this meditation we are going to express gratitude for our body,
All of it.
Before we begin please make sure you are comfortable,
You can stay seated or lie down.
And just to get us into the present moment take one deep breath in,
Hold the top and exhale,
Release.
You are feeling calm and receptive.
In this meditation all you need to do is listen to the words I say and allow them to make you feel so grateful.
If it helps you could visualize that body part or send your awareness to it and really bless it with your gratitude.
Thank you for my brain,
Its ability to remember beautiful memories,
To keep my body functioning,
For being the home of my thoughts and the neuroplasticity that allows me to change my mind at any time.
Thank you for my skeleton,
For holding all of my organs,
For supporting my body,
For being so strong.
Thank you for my heart,
For my life force energy,
For it beating every single day without me even asking it to.
Thank you for my lungs,
For processing every single breath I take,
For keeping me alive.
Thank you for my hands that allow me to hold a loved one's hand to write,
To touch,
To feel.
Thank you for my feet that allow me to walk on the earth to take me to places,
For keeping me grounded.
Thank you for my organs,
My spleen,
My intestines,
My bladder,
My pancreas,
My liver,
My reproductive organs.
All of you serve a purpose in keeping me alive and doing your job so well.
Thank you.
Thank you for my senses,
My ability to see,
To hear,
To taste,
To touch,
To smell that I can take in this beautiful planet through my senses and witness the beauty all around me.
Thank you for my arms and legs and limbs that allow me to move through this world,
Reach up and run and stretch.
Thank you for my muscles,
Thank you for being so strong,
For growing.
I support you with nutrients and cur.
Thank you for my blood that runs through me like a river,
Always flowing and flushing out the toxins.
Thank you for the whole of me,
From the top of my head to the tips of my toes,
This human body my soul gets to occupy on this short time on planet Earth.
How lucky I am to be here,
How grateful I am to experience this all temporarily.
I appreciate this day,
I appreciate my body and my mind and my soul and spirit all connected,
All with purpose.
Thank you.
As we close this meditation take one deep breath into your beautiful lungs and exhale.
Allow this gratitude to make you feel really really good.
Begin to open your eyes and take in the beautiful world around you with your ability to see.
Take time today to appreciate the parts of your body that you might not have appreciated before.
Thank you so much for practicing this meditation and I hope to practice again with you soon.
