Welcome to a Five Elements guided meditation.

Using the five elements in traditional Chinese medicine of water,

Wood,

Fire,

Earth,

And metal,

We will use some guided imagery and breathe in the virtue of that element and exhale out anything that might be not in balance during that time of year.

So invite yourself to find a comfortable seat.

You can sit on a prop,

Feel what's touching down,

Root yourself down to the earth,

Feel your seat,

Feel your feet,

And at the same time reach the crown of the head up to the heavens and invite yourself to make a little space inside of you as you draw your ears back so head is over shoulders,

Shoulders over hips,

And hips drawing towards the earth.

Plug in and reach up at the same time and just begin to notice your body breathing you.

Without you doing anything your body is always breathing you.

And as we balance these five elements,

Invite yourself to put your hands right on your pelvis,

Low belly,

Feel the breath coming in.

This is the water element of wintertime.

So as you take a big breath in you're gonna breathe in through that low belly and you're gonna exhale out through your kidneys,

Low back,

In the back body.

Invite yourself to breathe in through the belly and silently say to yourself,

I breathe in endurance.

I breathe out fear.

I breathe in endurance as the breath comes in and you expand that low belly breathing in the endurance of wintertime hibernation and I exhale out through the kidneys,

Low back,

Any fear that might be present.

I breathe in endurance right underneath your hands,

Feel the breath.

I breathe in endurance.

Exhale out through the kidneys,

I breathe out fear.

And just imagine any fears just letting go,

Balancing the water energy to be able to go with the flow.

And then gently bring your hands right on your low ribs and feel the breath right underneath your low ribs that's just happening all on its own.

The wood energy,

The springtime energy,

This energy resonates with the liver and the gallbladder.

So you're gonna breathe in through those low ribs and you're gonna exhale out through the side of your body all the way down up through the side of your body and exhaling out through those fourth toes.

So breathe in in through your low ribs.

I breathe in inspiration to rise up for springtime and I breathe out anger as you let go out through the side body out through your fourth toe.

Let go of anything of anger.

I breathe in inspiration right underneath your hands,

Feel that breath under your low ribs and I exhale out down the side body and out through fourth toes.

I breathe out anger.

One more time rising up to springtime I breathe in inspiration rising up pressing up through the earth rising up like those daffodils and I exhale out any anger I might be holding on to.

Just fight yourself to pause here and notice that spring wood energy and then bring your hands right into your heart the fire energy of early summer and this energy resonates in the heart and exhales out the armpits and out through your pinkies.

So take a big breath in through your heart I breathe in joy smile on your face and then exhale out through your armpits out through your pinkies I breathe out anxiety.

I breathe in joy feel that joy right in the front back and sides of your heart and I breathe out any anxiety out your armpits and out your pinkies.

I breathe in joy and I breathe out any anxiety armpits out through pinkies.

Just notice that energy in the heart that early summer beginning to bloom energy and then invite your hands to be right on your face your fingertips right below your eyes and your cheekbones the earth energy of late summer and this energy runs from the cheekbones all the way down the front of the body and exhales out through the second toe.

So just invite yourself to breathe in trust right into your face I breathe in trust that late summer abundance breathe in trust and abundance and then imagine it cascading down the front of your body down both legs and out through your second toes I breathe that worry.

I breathe in trust see that in your mind's eye right underneath your hands and I breathe that worry down through the front of the body down through the legs all the way out through second toes breathe out any worries.

One more like this I breathe in trust breathe in that trust that everything will bloom and blossom and exhale any worries down through the front of the body front of the legs and out through your second toes.

Just simply notice how it makes you feel to balance your earth energy and then lastly bring your hands right on your lungs imagine you could fill the front back and sides of the lungs take the biggest breath in and as you exhale out that energy travels down your armpits and out your thumbs lungs to thumbs breathe in through your lungs I breathe in integrity exhale out armpits to thumbs I breathe out sadness I breathe in integrity of fall of letting go I exhale out sadness I breathe in integrity breathe in through your lungs big breath in exhale out the armpits out the thumbs letting go of any sadness one more time just visualize it breathe it in through your lungs feel it expand underneath your hands and exhale imagine the energy traveling from your armpits out through your thumbs I breathe out sadness just notice if any of these five elements resonated with you and if there's one you'd like to go back to so I'll just review the hands on the pelvis the water Chi I breathe in endurance I breathe out fear right after the kidneys what energy the springtime energy from the low ribs right down through the sides of the bodies out through fourth toes I breathe in inspiration rising up to springtime energy I exhale out any anger out through those fourth toes good then hands on the heart fire energy of early summer just beginning to bloom I breathe in the front of the heart and exhale out through the armpits out through the pinkies I breathe in joy and I exhale out any annoy any anxiety and so the cheekbones the earth energy of late summer breathing in under the hands the cheekbones and let it resonate down the front of the body now through those second toes I breathe in trust I breathe out any worries and finally hands on the lungs metal Chi of fall lungs to thumbs I breathe in integrity of fall getting ready to let go I exhale out any sadness just simply notice how it feels to balance the five elements using guided meditation and mantras know that you can come back to this meditation at any time to balance the five elements of water wood fire earth and metal and as we close this practice begin to rub your hands together all that energy that radiates out through your hands and enjoy your hands right to your heart and let yourself just bow connecting back through the earth back through the heavens and whatever it is you want to walk through your day with find your own intention I breathe in and whatever that is fill up with every cell and then I breathe out let that radiate out whatever it is that you want to manifest I breathe in and you let that radiate out from you and you let the universe work out the details thank you so much for your practice namaste
