So let's meditate together.
That's why we're here.
Find a comfortable seat.
Take a few deep breaths.
Relax your body.
Drop your shoulders.
There's this wonderful quote I love from Mark Twain.
The two most important days of your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.
So one of the ways I think we open to our destiny is by starting to tap into the meaning of our lives and make a commitment to nurture the meaning of our lives.
And the more you do that,
The more you're going to open up to miracles and destiny and a path that makes somewhat sense,
Hopefully.
Drop your shoulders away from your ears.
Let your physical eyes close and let your inner eye open.
Maybe soften the center of your chest.
Open up your hands,
The palms of your hands.
Just notice if there's any tension in your jaw.
You can loosen it.
And as you close your eyes and start to just sit with me for a moment,
I know there's so many distractions,
So easy to want to take off in any direction.
Let's see if you could just take a moment here.
You know,
When you go into a lake or into the ocean and you could just feel the oneness of the water?
The ocean just has its own movement.
The tide comes in,
It comes out.
You might not feel alive in the way like an animal or an insect might,
But there's a there's kind of a consciousness in the ocean.
You could feel the energy moving,
Right?
And there's a cleansing that happens.
When we close our eyes to meditate,
We're in that existential fabric of life.
Just let yourself feel that.
It's right here all the time.
You are in the ocean of consciousness.
The existential sea of awareness that permeates all of life.
Every corner of every galaxy.
Every insect,
Every tree,
Every plant,
Every person.
Every tree,
Every plant,
Every person.
Every cloud.
Every rock and every star.
There is a fabric of existence that connects every single thing that has a form.
Let yourself just notice that for a moment.
And we can call this the formless.
So in life we have the forms,
All the forms.
Your body is a form.
It has a shape,
Has a place in time and space.
And then there is the formless.
And your awareness,
Your pure awareness,
Is the bridge between those two worlds.
In the formless there is no space,
There is no time,
There's no winning,
There's no losing.
There's no success,
There's no failure.
It is beyond the dualities that we experience in form.
It is beyond love and hate.
It is beyond gaining and losing.
It's beyond right and wrong.
It has no content.
In Zen there's a saying,
The bad news is we're falling,
The good news is there is nothing to hold on to.
See if you can,
In a sense,
Just let yourself go into that formless awareness.
And then from this place,
See if you can start to drop your attention into a center point in the center of your chest.
If I asked you to point to yourself,
It would probably be right here in the center of your chest,
In your heart center.
This is where we keep the blueprint of our soul's path.
This is where we keep the blueprint of our soul's path,
Our deepest desires,
Our core identity of who we are.
This is also where we experience heartbreak and loss,
Love,
Oneness,
Connection,
Affinity.
So let yourself be in that heart center for a moment.
If you want to rub the center of your chest with your hand,
If that helps kind of awaken the space,
You can.
And there might be a little residue or pain on your heart,
A little filmy energy that's kept you disconnected from life,
From other people,
From miracles.
Sometimes it takes the form of loneliness,
Despondency,
Hopelessness,
Anger,
Sadness.
This is part of the human condition and the human experience to feel these things in our heart,
But it's not our destiny to live in them forever.
So as you sit here with me with a gentle compassion,
Maybe even right now in this moment,
You can let some of those energies,
If they're ready,
To just start to gently melt off of your chest.
They're meant to inform you,
Not punish you.
Perhaps they're meant to help you,
But they're not meant to help you.
Perhaps just watch some of those energies melt off,
Just gently melt off.
Like if there was mud on a rock,
On a stone,
And it rains,
And the rain just starts to wash the mud off.
Just let that mud come off your heart.
Some of it might be some negativity,
An old belief,
I'm not connected to life,
There are no miracles,
There is no destiny,
Some skepticism.
I'll always be alone,
No one's here to help.
Whatever it is,
Some of those deep-seated negative beliefs,
See if you can let some rainwater just wash some of that off your heart.
And if you're sitting there going,
Easier said than done,
David,
Well,
Then that's some negativity that's ready to come off your heart.
Let some of that weight off of your chest start to go.
Yes,
Perhaps this is the moment it finally happens.
Your mind will never let you have the moment.
Just let that energy go.
Even if you hear negative talk,
Distraction,
Let that just start to melt off.
You might find a deep old layer of negative belief somewhere in your heart.
Let that just start to melt off.
You might find a deep old layer of negative belief somewhere.
Life is hard.
Life is unfair.
Someone always tries to mess with you.
You might find a deep layer of old negative heavy belief.
When I find one of those,
I go,
Yuck.
Yee!
Just recognize it and let that heaviness start to melt off into the earth.
It might not feel so good,
But it's okay.
Life's not giving you anything you can't handle.
Let the gravity of the earth pull.
Just pull it off of your chest.
Let it just melt off of your chest,
Any of that heaviness.
As that happens,
Maybe your heart center just starts to get a bit of a healing.
So if there's a crack in your heart of some kind or little micro fractures or dark spots,
Let your heart start to get a healing from life.
Let your heart start to get a healing from life.
And to do that,
There might be a level of surrender or forgiveness that starts to come in that you invite in.
If you're someone who always had to be right,
Someone who always had to protect yourself or fight,
If you put that down and open up,
That healing might just start to happen.
Make sure you're breathing nice and deeply.
And allow your heart,
As you release,
Let it start to open up to some of that miracle,
Some of that destiny energy,
Where it's really connected to the fabric,
The deeper fabric of reality.
See if you can start to just align your energy to life.
If you've felt misaligned,
Unaligned,
Disconnected,
See if you could be open,
Just open to the possibilities of life,
Of what it wants to share with you,
Show you the path it wants you to be on,
How it wants you to be of service.
If you're in that energy of,
When am I going to get mine,
That is not being connected and on the path.
Miracle energy,
You know,
When it comes in with that kind of divinity,
It's unpredictable,
But it's also very warm and compassionate.
See if you can open up your heart center.
So if it was 50% open before,
See if you could really open it up.
When we open the heart center,
That's when our energy of trust in life starts to open,
That the vibration of trust starts to trust life.
Maybe even start to trust yourself.
Make sure you're still breathing.
Put a light smile on your face.
And then just see if you can,
The last piece here,
Really deepen your heart.
Can you just let yourself surrender to life with a capital L or existence,
Whatever that means to you.
See if you could just surrender your heart to existence.
I have no idea how this is going to unfold,
But I'm willing to be open to it.
Open.
I'm willing to trust and be open and surrender.
Really nice work.
And then from here,
Who knows what your intuition will open you up to,
What possibilities and doorways will open for you.
It's up to you to accept the call to adventure when it arrives at your doorstep.
And even when there's pain,
Resistance,
Isolation,
You open that heart anyway and you move forward.
Really nice work.
Just say hello to that heart center one more time.
Resilient,
Deep,
Connected,
Full of trust.
Take a big deep breath in.
Nice,
Big,
Easy sigh out.
And then when you're ready,
You can slowly open your eyes and stretch.
Good job,
Everyone.
