Hello and good morning.
I'm David and welcome to this meditation and welcome to today.
I'm going to start the day off right by really grounding ourselves.
So go ahead and close your eyes,
Let your shoulders drop,
Take a deep breath in and then just hold that breath until all your problems go away.
Or not.
Take a deep breath out.
Have some amusement,
Have some joy for being alive.
The planet is still rotating around the sun and there's so much to be grateful for.
And before we can jump into our day,
Before we can fully engage and create,
We want to draw our energy back into our bodies so that we can create a sense of presence.
We could step into that awareness of who we truly are so that we can create from an authentic place.
And to be able to create from an authentic place,
We need to find some neutrality.
So if you woke up a little frustrated,
Groggy,
Confused,
Stuck,
Upset,
Tired,
Then you want to start to say hello to being a little bit more neutral to those feelings.
You don't have to try to get rid of them or change them or blame them on somebody else.
That's a great way to start the morning.
Instead of praying,
We blame someone else for how we feel.
None of that.
You feel how you feel,
Just notice the sensations.
Without even labeling frustration,
You might just notice the vibration of it,
The density,
Almost the texture.
And if you feel good,
You can notice that too.
Good morning guys.
Here is your And let's begin our morning by grounding ourselves.
Usually when we wake up,
The first thing we want to do is project out into the future.
Let's do the opposite by getting here.
I'd like you to imagine from the base of your spine a nice big tree trunk just grows down into the planet.
Maybe it's a big redwood tree or sequoia.
It could be a pine tree or an oak tree.
Whatever you prefer,
Allow it to be an extension of you.
Extend this tree into the planet and root it in deeply.
And as you root it in,
Recognize that you come from this planet.
You're validating that connection.
You're also creating a channel of release down this tree trunk.
So if there is anything that doesn't feel great,
Perhaps the gravity of the earth begins to pull it down as you release it.
It's like if you're holding something in your hand,
If you just let it go,
The earth takes it,
You don't have to do anything.
Even that sense of needing to get into the day,
The sense of needing to get things done,
That often can translate into stress,
Anxiety,
That weight of expectation.
See if you can let some of that go.
Or do what you do best and hold on to it for the whole day.
And then you'll need my sleep meditation.
So if there is something you're releasing or shaking off,
You might even notice it goes down your tree trunk like a liquid or an energy like a color.
For many of us,
When we wake up,
We come across the energy of I'm not doing enough.
I need to get more done.
I need to get it done faster and better.
So again,
We can let go of those expectations.
Sometimes we get more done by doing less.
We sit still and an idea arises.
An answer comes to the surface.
A form of self-acceptance begins to settle in and we realize that everything is okay.
That the planet has circled the sun billions of times.
From our perspective,
The sun has arisen and set countless times.
And we're still here.
And everything is okay.
Notice that tree trunk gets more and more solid.
It takes form.
It stabilizes you.
It grounds you.
It prepares you for whatever today will bring.
Maybe somewhere on this tree trunk you even carve your initials into the side of it.
So you know this is my grounding.
This is my space.
This is my energy.
And hold that intention that as you go into the day,
You do it from a grounded place.
A place of awareness,
A place of self-acceptance,
And a place of compassion for yourself and for the rest of the planet and every being that lives on it.
As you ground yourself,
You ground everything.
There is one cake shop over there.
Feel that steadiness,
That stability,
That certainty.
And you can start by grounding your priorities for the day.
So what are your top three priorities for the day?
Choose one.
Give it a tree trunk.
Maybe it's to work on a project or communicate with someone.
To take care of your physical health.
To love more.
And there is no right or wrong priority.
We prioritize our own priorities.
You choose.
And you're grounding that priority,
Almost like if it was sitting and a tree trunk grew out of it into the earth.
So it's not going anywhere,
Just like you're not going anywhere.
It has stability.
And then choose a second priority.
What comes in second for today?
And again,
There's no right or wrong,
Whatever it is.
Let it manifest right in front of you in your mind's eye.
Give it a tree trunk.
Settle it down.
And then choose a third.
And same process.
Give it a tree trunk,
Stabilize it,
Ground it.
And you can't get everything done,
But you can ground the energy for a number of priorities.
And with your intention,
Begin to accomplish them.
And as all three of these are planted,
Notice you're beginning to plant an entire forest of creation.
And every day you might sit and ground these same priorities or new ones.
And just watch your life grow.
Take a nice big deep breath in,
Nice breath out.
Recognize you're ready for the day.
You're going to step into it and create from a grounded,
Conscious,
Excited,
Inspired space.
And you're going to share yourself with the world.
Not because you have to,
But because you're ready to and you want to.
Thank you so much for sitting as always.
I wish you the best and I'll see you next time.
