Welcome in the space of deep relaxation.
As you settle in for sleep,
Know that you don't have to carry the weight of the day any longer.
This is your time to let go,
To soften,
And to allow your body and your mind to rest,
Deeply and fully.
You might be already lying down in your bed,
And if so,
Just adjust your body,
Adjust yourself so you feel the most comfortable here,
So you feel completely supported by your bed,
By the surface underneath you.
Feel your body being held by the bed.
You don't have to hold yourself any more.
You can finally let go,
Finally relax,
And open for a deep rest and healing.
Let's just take a few soft and slow breaths.
As you exhale,
Release that tension and stress of the day.
As you inhale,
Inviting calm,
Inviting healing.
Exhale as you connect even more to the earth,
The surface that is holding you.
Inhale as you are creating more space from within.
With each breath,
Connecting more and more with stillness.
If there's any movements or stretches you want to do,
Feel free to do so,
Remember this is your practice.
However,
If you're ready to relax more,
You can start coming into stillness and just observing your body as it's lying down here.
Observing each breath that is flowing through you,
In and out,
Constant flow.
Remind yourself that it is safe for you to rest here,
That you deserve to rest,
You deserve to heal,
And that here and now you can finally let go.
Feel your head now and let the back of head melt down to the earth.
Let your shoulders relax and soften,
As if warm sunlight is helping you to relax and soften your muscles here.
Feeling your back grounding down to the earth,
Supported.
Feel your glutes,
Your legs,
Heavy and still,
Like sinking into the warm sand on a beach.
Let your jaw unclench,
Notice if you're not holding any tension on your face.
Let your eyes be soft,
Let your cheeks be relaxed,
Even your thoughts can begin to float away.
As you are clearing your mind and creating more and more space from within,
Feel your chest,
Your heart space,
Expanding and relaxing with each breath.
Remind yourself that your heart is the centre of love within you,
Is the centre of that healing energy.
Let this love from your heart expand now through your chest,
Through your shoulders,
Reaching your ribs and your belly.
Soothing and softening any stiffness,
Any heavy energies you might be holding in.
Let that love reach every little part of your body.
Let it reach both of your hips,
Flow through your pelvic floor.
Let it reach even your toes,
Flowing through your legs,
Surrounding it with love,
Surrounding it with the energy of peace and safety.
Let that loving energy reach your arms and your shoulders,
Your hands and your fingertips.
So every part of you is full of love now.
Every cell of your body,
Every muscle,
Every bone is full of love.
And as your body is resting here,
As it is more still,
You can go deeper into the space of awareness.
You can go deeper into your dreamland,
Into your imagination,
That limitless creative space within you.
Imagine bringing yourself to a peaceful night time landscape.
Maybe you are on a warm sand on the beach,
After the sunset of a beautiful sky full of stars.
Or maybe you are in a quiet meadow,
Lying down on a blanket,
Feeling warm and cosy.
The sky above you is full of stars.
Each one of these stars is a soft reminder that you are safe,
You are loved and supported here.
The Earth is supporting you.
The sky of the stars is like a roof of safety.
And all these natural forces are supporting a natural healing process in your body and mind.
Whatever part in your body,
Whatever part in your mind you feel like needs healing,
Let the warm energy of Earth surround those parts of you,
Melting like honey.
Remind yourself that you are perfect as you are and your natural state,
Your essence is pure health,
Pure love and joy.
Invite these words quietly in your mind.
My body knows how to heal.
My body is in perfect balance and harmony.
It's safe for me to rest.
It's safe for me to just relax.
I am letting go.
I am letting go of any tension,
Any stiffness,
Any ideas that are blocking me from experiencing pure joy and peace.
