Hello,

I'm Rhys Jones,

And welcome to this Lucid Dream Incubation Recording.

What follows is a lucid dreaming story,

Influenced by one of my own lucid dreams.

It can either be listened to for fun,

Or with the intent to sow seeds,

For a lucid dream later on in the night.

If you're listening just for fun,

Then you are,

Of course,

Free to put this on at any time during the day,

However,

If you decide to listen with the intent to incubate a lucid dream,

Then we recommend listening to it,

Either just before getting into bed,

Or whilst falling to sleep.

So,

I'll now give you a moment to decide how you want to proceed.

If you decide to put this on whilst you're falling to sleep,

Then use this time now to prepare for that.

Turn off your lights,

Draw your curtains,

Get into bed,

And do whatever else you need in order to feel fully settled.

When my voice returns in a moment,

The lucid dream incubation will begin.

You come to,

Inside your own mind,

Immediately recognize it for what it is.

I'm lucid dreaming,

Gathering your thoughts and breathing deep.

I'm in the small spaces between my synapses,

As you try to get up,

However,

You realize that the dream hasn't properly formed yet.

You are,

In essence,

Still thought form,

In a vast and cavernous space.

Your thoughts echo through the void,

But nothing is solid yet.

Give it a moment,

You think,

Stay lucid for the dream to materialize.

The dream is now solid and waiting for your input.

You're in a room filled with many different mirrors,

Some small,

Some large,

Some colorful,

Some plain,

Some are quite alluring,

And some are.

You quickly realize that each mirror represents a different aspect of your psyche,

You're free to explore any of them.

You get to your feet and look them over,

One reflection to the next,

The next.

There's no right or wrong,

You think,

I can choose any of them.

Now settled on one specific mirror,

You gaze into it and find the scene around you changing.

Take a deep breath,

Stealing yourself.

Along with the changing scene,

Your thoughts change too.

The entire dream is on the move,

All the while,

Remain present and lucid.

As the scene eventually settles down,

You find yourself surrounded by beautiful,

Majestic redwood trees,

And green,

To your left,

To your right,

Far and wide.

You breathe in deep again,

Through your nose.

The air here is filled with the sweet fragrance of flowers,

And there's a river winding in and out through the trees.

The sound of running water calms you,

And you decide to follow it.

As you walk along the riverside,

You notice how crystal clear the water is.

School of beautiful orange carp are swimming downstream with the current.

Your eyes flit from one fish to the next,

Transfixed.

Their presence soothes you.

What it must be like to be surrounded by so many of your own,

You think.

Then you notice one fish outside of the school,

Fighting against the current instead of swimming with it.

Hundreds of fish going with the flow,

Yet one solitary fish fights against it.

How interesting,

You think.

Suddenly,

You hear a voice calling your name.

You break sight with the fish and around,

And see two figures standing in the distance,

Beckoning you towards them.

As you get closer to the figures,

You recognize them as younger versions of your parents.

You begin to talk with them and feel a strong sense of nostalgia as you do.

This is what lucid dreaming is all about,

You think,

To do things I'd never be able to do in waking life.

The conversation continues and,

As it does,

You begin to walk side by side with them,

Along the riverbed,

Towards another arrangement of mirrors.

What are they doing here,

You wonder.

They look strange,

Dozens of tall mirrors propped up against the tree trunks.

It looks quite out of place,

Out here,

In nature.

However,

As you get closer to them,

Their form changes.

Are they mirrors?

After all,

Perhaps they're not.

They actually look more like tablets,

Computer tablets.

Huge,

Stretched-out computer tablets propped up against the trees.

Yes,

Yes,

That's what they are.

The scene here is bizarre.

Hence,

Lucid dreaming.

Another place in the timeline,

Another decision.

Where would you like to go now?

You mull over the choices,

Looking from one tablet to the next.

On each screen is a different scenario,

A different experience,

A different dream.

You're spoiled for choice,

But eventually choose the one directly to your right.

It looks the most appealing.

And so,

Once more,

You take a deep breath in,

Steeling yourself for what comes next.

Close your eyes,

Walk through the huge tablet screen.

As you do,

It feels like a static,

Watery curtain is being draped over your face.

Such a strange,

But intriguing sensation.

And then,

As you step out on the other side,

Everything becomes bright and colorful.

You're at a carnival,

You realize,

Filled with all kinds of fun rides and games.

You see people laughing and frolicking and having fun,

So you decide to join in.

Still at the carnival,

You find yourself on a ferris wheel,

Ascending high into the sky.

Higher you get,

Smaller the scene below you becomes.

The bright lights and vibrant colors of the carnival,

Chromagical atmosphere.

It's like a painting come to life.

The candy-colored stalls and tents are filled with games and prizes,

And the smell of cotton candy wafts up to you on the breeze.

People bustle about,

Chatting and laughing away,

As they try their luck at the various attractions.

What a fun and engaging scene.

You look down,

High above them,

Like a god.

Finally,

As the ferris wheel reaches its zenith,

You pause for a moment,

Taking in the stunning view before you.

The sky is dark and velvety,

Scattered with tiny stars,

And the twinkling lights of the carnival below seem to glow bright against the darkness.

The wheel begins to descend,

And the carnival scene grows larger,

Until eventually,

You reach the ground,

Filled with a sense of wonder for what you just experienced.

You step off the ferris wheel and back into the hustle and bustle of the crowd.

You remind yourself that you're dreaming,

So as not to lose lucidity.

Another portal,

Another scene.

This time,

You're in someone's back garden,

Sitting on a bench.

The flowers here are in full bloom,

And the sun is shining bright.

The two figures from earlier,

The ones that look like younger versions of your parents,

Approach and sit down,

Introducing themselves as your subconscious mind.

I see you're exploring again,

They say in unison.

You nod,

Looking the figures over,

Amazed at the details your dreaming mind is conjuring up.

They're beautiful and holy looking,

And you feel excited to hear what they have to say next.

The conversation continues.

Exploring is certainly a healthy activity,

One says,

Especially when you realize that the portals are within,

Says the other.

They get up and begin to pace around thoughtfully,

Mirroring each other's steps.

These inner portals though,

Just so you know,

They lead elsewhere.

Inside,

Sure,

But outside too,

It's complicated.

Their voice wanders off for a moment,

Thinking about how to impart their message clearly.

Because every time you enter,

You cross paths with the.

.

.

Other ones.

You see?

The other yous?

We use these portals too.

One figure rests their hand lovingly on your shoulder,

Whilst the other one looks you deeply in the eyes.

And each time we talk like this,

We merge a little.

If you listened to this lucid dreaming story just for fun,

I hope you enjoyed it.

And if you listened for induction purposes,

Then I hope this parting message now finds you relaxed and drifting.

Lucid dreaming seeds have been sown,

Your mind has been primed,

And you are ready for sleep.

And so,

With that,

I draw this session to a close.

Lucid Dreamer.

Happy Dreaming.
