Welcome to this journey through the world of emotions. Emotions are something exciting, they give color to our lives but if we don't know how to handle them, just as they can take us up to heaven, they can also take us down to hell. More and more people are suffering from anxiety and depression. That is why it is so important to learn how to manage emotions and cultivate a healthy relationship with them. This course through different Mindfulness and Self-compassion practices will help you recognize that all emotions are natural and necessary and that it is not about eliminating them but about staying with them and observing them without being trapped. You are the ocean, they are the ever-changing waves. You are the sky, they are the clouds that pass. Also learning to recognize the message they bring and respond to it, thus responding to our basic needs of feeling accepted, loved, safe and heard. I wish you a good trip. Namaste.

Leçon 1
The ABC of Emotions.
In this first session of the course we make a brief introduction to the world of emotions and we perform a practice that helps us recognize how we feel and what feelings and emotions are present. To bring consciousness is the first and basic step in our work with them.
Leçon 2
The Guest House
In this practice we learn to relate to the emotions as the were visitors using the metaphor of the guest house of Rumi's famous poem. So this helps us to create the distance and not to identify with them.
Leçon 3
Say YES to Emotions.
Our natural tendency is to flight or fight the emotions but does it really make us feel better? In this session we first see what happens if we say NO to the emotions, if we reject them, criticize or resist. Then we try to say a YES and observe what the difference is. Remember that by saying YES we don´t have to be agree or like this emotions, we just let our body feel and process them.
Leçon 4
Body Component of Emotions.
In this practice we will become familiar with the body component of emotions by observing the physical sensations that accompany different feelings and locating the areas of the body where these sensations take place. It is very important because it helps us to get out of the loop of negative thoughts that make emotions last longer in time.
Leçon 5
Breathing As A Refuge
Sometimes the emotions and physical sensations that accompany them are so intense that we need a safe place to wait while the storm passes. I invite you to use the breath work practice and to find this refuge in our breath, feeling us safe and protected.
Leçon 6
Decipher the Message of the Emotions
All emotions are visitors that bring us some message. We can learn to decipher this message although it is not easy at all especially because we try to find the answer more in our mind when where it really is in our heart because emotions usually connect us with basic human needs.
Leçon 7
Conclusions
In this session i offer you conclusions. First one is about importance of becoming aware and approaching emotions calmly, kindly, breathing with them. And the second one is that we can finally learn not to abandon ourselves, not to leave ourselves thrown there. So, when we stay with emotions, when we breathe with emotions, it is when we are accompanying us at the time of pain and discomfort, we are holding this part of us who is suffering. We are finally taking care of ourselves.

Our Last Practice
We try to unite everything that we´ve seen during this course in this practice. It is the self compassion pause to create healthy and kind relationship with the emotions and see them like the opportunity to create a better relationship with ourselves. From self judgement to acceptance and self love.
