As the nights get brighter,
The air lifts and breathing becomes lighter and steadier.
Breathe in and gently lower yourself home into the centre core of your beautiful self with each breath.
It's time to start looking around,
See where you are and notice if it's where you want and need to be.
Is anything hurting you?
Is there pain within you?
Is there anything leaving you feeling empty?
Is there something draining you away from self?
It's okay to feel this way.
It doesn't make you a bad person to feel unhappy or off balance.
It makes you human.
It makes you real.
You can own those feelings of disappointment,
Heartache and sadness.
It's okay to let tears roll down your face.
It's okay to say you're not okay.
But know that you are going to be okay.
Maybe you have a question.
Are you looking for an answer?
A way to touch healing?
For a moment just listen.
Ask yourself deep inside for the answer.
It's in there.
You just need to ask directly and then you need to listen.
Sometimes the answer is painful and you may already have it but you might just not be ready to hear it and that's okay.
You will hear your answer when you are ready.
If you are ready,
Did your answer come?
What did it say?
Did it tell you that you matter?
That you are important?
Did it give you direction?
Did it share with you love?
What makes you happy?
What brings you joy?
What fills your soul with love?
Is it the people that surround you?
Is it the nights when they get brighter?
Is it the perfume of an open rose?
Is it the scent of the air after rainfall?
When you next experience one of those moments,
Sit within it.
When you feel good,
When you feel balanced and in joy,
Sit within the feeling.
Keep that feeling going for as long as you can.
Swim within the wonders of peace and contentment.
Bank those good feelings.
Keep them with you for times of need.
And when you do need one of those banked feelings,
Search inside yourself for the love and balance you felt.
And there you will find what you need.
Allow that peaceful feeling to expand.
To sit within you like an old,
Loved friend.
I wish I could share with you the feeling I have now as I write.
It's a cold winter's afternoon and the sun is slowly setting.
The sky is clear with the odd cloud.
The plants outside gently sway in the breeze.
My old friends who sleep through the winter.
Having their downtime.
But I can see.
I can see they are getting ready to join in once again with life.
And isn't that true for us too?
Sometimes we need rest.
Recuperation to be simply left.
Left to go through the stages we need to feel.
Sometimes those stages might be scary and dark.
Just like a flower's first winter.
It didn't know what to expect when those darker days were looming.
And if it would ever bloom again.
But it did.
And its spring came along and once again the flower thought ready and alive to blossom.
To feel the warmth.
To feel the sunlight.
To feel loved and wanted.
If you have felt low,
Alone or afraid you will arrive once again and you'll be okay my friend.
This is not your end.
This is just the beginning of your new season.
And in your own time you'll feel ready to welcome in your spring.
Namaste.
