Today I'll be guiding you through a full moon release meditation that works with the fire element.
In the creative cycle on the five elements framework,
Fire represents transformation,
Illumination,
And peak yang energy.
Just as fire transforms wood into ash,
Releasing light,
The full moon illuminates what is complete in our lives and supports us to release what no longer serves our growth.
This transformative quality makes a full moon an ideal time for letting go.
Letting go of old patterns,
Limiting beliefs,
Stagnant emotions,
Or anything that's been weighing on your heart.
As you release these,
You create space for new growth and possibilities.
Today's guided meditation will take you through a powerful release process using the imagery and energy of fire,
Supported by the full moon's illuminating presence.
I invite you to find a comfortable position where you can be fully relaxed,
Yet alert.
You might choose to sit with your spine gently upright,
Or to lie down if that feels better for you today.
Let's begin by creating a foundation of safety and presence.
If it feels good for you,
Place one hand on your heart,
And the other hand on your belly,
Connecting with your physical body.
And if it feels good for you,
Let your eyes half or fully close.
As you connect with your physical body,
Feel your belly rise and fall beneath your hand and your heart.
Inhaling deeply,
And exhaling fully.
Inhaling deeply,
And exhaling fully.
Inhaling deeply,
And exhaling fully.
Let your awareness rest on the natural rhythm of your breath.
Allowing your breath to find its own pace.
And with each exhale,
Feel yourself settling even more deeply into yourself and into this moment.
Feel and see yourself sitting in a peaceful clearing under the light of a magnificent full moon.
The silvery light of the moon bathes everything in a soft glow,
Revealing details with perfect clarity.
The sky is clear and the full moon feels so close as if you can touch it.
You feel how this full moon radiates a gentle strength.
And in front of you,
Within a safe stone circle,
See a small fire burning steadily.
Notice how the flames dance and flicker,
Creating patterns of light and shadow.
Watch this sacred fire as it begins to flicker.
And take a moment to acknowledge how that mirrors the fire element within you.
Your inner warmth,
Passion,
And your capacity for transformation.
Notice where you feel this energy inside of you,
And how this manifests.
Perhaps you feel this as a gentle warmth in your heart,
A tingling in your hands,
Or a sense of aliveness throughout your body.
However it may manifest,
Connect with your inner flame.
And as you do so,
Bring to mind and to heart something you're ready to release.
This might be a belief that's limiting you,
An emotion that's been difficult to process,
A situation you've been holding on to,
A pattern,
Relationship,
Or even a person whom you're ready to let go,
So that you can serve your highest good.
See clearly in your mind's eye,
Illuminated by the full moon's light.
What does it look like?
How has it felt to carry this?
Acknowledge the role it may have played in your life up until now.
And take a moment to thank this person,
Belief,
Emotion,
Situation,
For the ways it might have protected you,
Supported you,
Or served you in the past.
Acknowledge how it has helped you grow,
And the lessons you've learned by being in contact with it in your life.
And now,
Recognize that you are ready to transform this energy.
You're ready to release it with love and gladness,
So that you can create space for something new.
See yourself gently releasing and placing this into the fire.
Watch as the flames begin to transform it,
Breaking down its physical form and releasing its energy.
As you witness this transformation,
You take a deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
You release an audible sigh,
Letting go of any tension from your body.
Feel a sense of lightness as this weight lifts from you.
The fire doesn't destroy,
It transforms.
The essential energy returns to the universe.
But the form that no longer serves you dissolves back into pure potential.
As you feel that lightness of being,
Feel also how the light of the full moon shines down,
Illuminating your face and your body,
Filling your body,
Mind,
And spirit with clarity and peace.
Feel the open space you've created within yourself.
Space that can now be filled with new possibilities,
New energy,
New growth that will support you as you continue on your journey.
With your next breath out,
Sending this gladness and gratitude for everyone and everything that made it possible for you to embark on this process of release and renewal.
In the final moments of our practice,
I invite you to place your hands in the prayer position at your heart center.
Feel the warmth between your palms and acknowledge your own inner flame and your capacity for transformation.
Carry this feeling of spaciousness,

Knowing that you can return to this practice anytime you need to release something that no longer serves you.

Take a deep breath in.
And as you take a long breath out,
