Transcript

Just me.

It remains a foreign concept,

To be loved for who I truly am.

My snotty nose,

Emotions running high,

Being vulnerable,

Yes,

Unreasonable,

Fighting with myself,

Showing my darkest side to you.

It remains scary ground,

To be so open-hearted,

So honest and pure.

No veils to conceal,

No walls to protect,

No secrets hidden,

No more roles to play.

Just me,

Out in the open,

With you.

Step by step,

You install my trust,

My knowing I am okay,

Deeply reinforcing new beliefs about me.

Me,

Vulnerable,

Sensitive at best,

Emotional at worst.

But it is all okay for you.

I love you for your wisdom,

Your emotional strength.

I love feeling me through your eyes,

Your biggest heart that beats for me.

I love you for how you are,

So actively and unconditionally loving and cherishing me.

You are the greatest gift of life to me.
