Welcome to this short nervous system grounding practice that you can use at any time of the day to feel more grounded,
Resilient,
Compassionate and calm.
So start off by just noticing any surfaces that are supporting you.
That is your feet resting,
How they're resting.
Notice where your bum is in contact with,
What that feels like.
And also notice any feeling and contact of fabrics on your skin.
Anything that you're sensing on your skin like the air.
Just really tuning into your senses,
That's feeling.
And also hearing what can you hear around you.
Bird sound,
Human behavior,
Human activity.
Nature,
Maybe a blend of both.
Just becoming aware of what is here in this moment,
Not in the future,
In this moment.
And watching your breath going on,
Making sure to breathe in through the nose,
Breathing out through the nose is great as well,
But if you need it releasing through your mouth where you want to release,
That's totally fine as well.
Just become aware of the natural flowing of your breath.
Also,
Here now,
In this moment,
Not in the past,
Not in the future,
Right here,
Right now,
Alive,
Breathing.
How does it feel to breathe?
To know that you're alive.
Regardless of any worries,
Anything going on in your life,
Knowing that you're alive right here,
Right now.
You're sensing right here,
Right now.
Always coming back to those key points of the feet,
The shoulders,
Your jaw,
And your eyes,
Making sure the edges of your eyes are nice and relaxed.
And also tuning into your senses of what's going on around you.
The problem is not the arising of anxiety.
That's a normal human response.
That's been with us forever and has been part of our survival.
The problem or the opportunity lies within how we respond,
How we hold that anxiety that can arise in our system.
Do we resist and do we fight it,
Getting more and more entangled and tense?
Or do we hold space,
Hold compassion,
Allow,
Maybe even love it?
A little.
So that this anxious part of us can build trust in us to navigate life.
And therefore transforms into more ease and calm.
So inviting more spaciousness,
More compassion for any anxiousness within us.
Just see if you can hold any anxious parts that may be with you in your system with a bit more compassion right now in this moment.
Offering and accepting,
Allowing space.
It's just a very brief check-in,
There's not a deep dive.
Just something to attune you that going forward you can hold yourself and anything that arises within you with this more compassionate energy.
And how does it feel to act with compassion,
Care,
Non-judgment?
Maybe you're feeling a bit more trust,
A bit more calm,
Body relaxing a bit.
More confidence in your future.
And a bit more joy and ease in your present.
Allowing your calm,
Spacious,
Compassionate groundedness to take up more of your system.
For that to be the energy that you embody.
Grounding the nervous system is not just about feeling better in the moment.
All these techniques and teachings are great,
But really what we want to strive for it's about building resilience,
About showing our body how to better react to stress,
How to better respond.
And that is what you do when you learn to hold compassionate space for yourself.
In combination with the practices,
Body awareness,
Grounding check-ins.
I want to leave you with one last thing.
Many of us may be anxious about losing things in our life that we feel we need,
But also on some level we know we don't really need.
So I'd like to just give you a short reminder or a short share of what I feel the true riches of life are.
For me,
The true riches of life are connection.
Connection to myself,
Connection to others,
Connection to Mother Earth.
On top of that,
Good health,
Resilience and trust in myself.
These are true riches and it's not about perfection.
It's simply about care and openness towards them that already makes me rich.
So maybe you can feel in your system that becoming aware of what your true riches are,
Maybe take some time to reflect on that,
Can make you feel more ease because you let go of striving and holding on to things that you don't really need,
Making you lighter,
Happier and more peaceful.
And before you come out,
Just take a moment to become aware of the space that you're in again.
Just making sure you're grounded in this moment.
We didn't go too deep today into the subconscious or anything like that,
But just make sure you're really embodied in this moment,
Watching your breath.
Here right now,
Ready to live and give.
My name is Felix Niu.
Thank you for meditating with me today.
Have a beautiful day or night.
Much love.
Soak up these soothing vibes.
