Welcome to this short but effective meditation that will help you to be aware of your breath,
Making it soft and soothing,
Having a calming and relaxing effect on your mind and body.
Please find now a comfortable seated position,
Can be either on a cushion or on a chair,
With your spine upright but relaxed.
Open your chest,
Rolling your shoulder back,
Gently close your eyes and make sure that you don't have any tension in your arms,
In your neck,
In your back,
In your body,
Just feel your body still but relaxed.
Take a few deep breaths in,
Inhale slowly through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.
We will do it two more times,
One deep breath in through your nose and a deep breath out through your mouth.
With every breath out,
Just allow any tension or stress to melt away,
Just leaving your body.
Now shift your focus to the natural rhythm of your breath,
Notice the sensation of the breath as it enters and leaves your body.
Just observe it,
Do not try to control,
Feel the coolness of the inhalation and the warmth of the exhalation.
Without trying to control or change your breath,
Just simply observe it as it is.
Notice the gentle rise and fall of your abdomen or the feeling of your breath in your nose strip.
Whenever your attention is right now is ok,
Can be on your abdomen or on your nose strips,
Just observe your breath.
As you continue to observe your breath,
You may notice that your mind begins to wander,
Thoughts,
Emotions,
Distractions,
Something may arise.
When this happens,
Do not judge,
Just welcome and gently guide your attention back to your breath,
Returning to the present moment.
You can always come back here.
Allow yourself to fully experience each and every breath.
Notice the subtle pauses between the inhalation and exhalation.
Be present with the sensations of the breath,
Moment by moment.
If you find yourself getting caught up in thoughts,
Judgments or mental chattering,
Gently let go and bring your attention back to your breath.
Each breath is an opportunity to anchor yourself in this beautiful present moment.
As you continue this practice,
You may notice a sense of calmness and clarity washing over you,
Arising.
Embrace this feeling and let it permeate your entire being.
Take a few more moments to simply be with your breath,
Allowing it to be your focal point.
Release any expectations or goals and simply be present with this nourishing and life-giving process.
Whenever you are ready to conclude the meditation,
Take a deep breath in through the nose and exhale and while exhaling gently open your eyes.
Just take a moment now to notice how you feel and bring this sense of presence and awareness into the rest of your day.
Remember,
This short meditation can be practiced anytime,
Anywhere,
Whenever you feel the need to reconnect with the present moment and cultivate a sense of inner peace.
And whenever you are ready,
Just little by little move your body and enjoy with peace the rest of your day.
Thank you.
