Hello and welcome.

In today's practice,

We will begin to honor the act of mothering as liberation,

Not taking away from the challenges or the things that can sometimes make being a mother a challenging role but giving ourselves a moment to honor the beauty and the freedom and the love that lies within this divine assignment.

Starting here by finding a comfortable position,

Knowing that this position should not be strenuous or cause any discomfort,

Finding a position that encourages ease and relaxation,

Closing your eyes or,

If you choose to keep them open,

Softening your gaze.

Taking a moment here to allow yourself to unwind,

Feeling as you begin to settle and loosen,

Melting into your body and finding rest in the position that you're in,

Allowing your breath to send waves of comfort and ease throughout your entire being,

Allowing your inhale to touch and soften places of tension within your body,

Feeling the unclenching of your jaw,

Feeling your shoulders loosening and dropping,

Feeling your heart softening and unlocking,

Feeling your entire being easing effortlessly into this state of calm and relaxation.

Allowing yourself to be here with your breath,

Feeling your body's energy,

Feeling your breath,

Allowing any worry or concern that may be present within you to drift from your being,

Even if just for right now.

As your breath moves through and out of you,

Imagining your breath like a wave and any thoughts and feelings that may be circulating throughout your body being washed up on the shore by each wave of breath dancing through your being.

Moving into more intentional breathing here.

Feeling one,

Two,

Three,

And allowing an exhale to escape past your lips or out of your nose as any thoughts that do not positively serve the space that you are cultivating for yourself today,

To be washed up on the shore of your mind to tend to later.

Inhaling one,

Two,

Three,

And another exhale brushing past your lips as you feel yourself melting and surrendering deeper into this state of relaxation.

And one final breath,

One,

Two,

Three,

And another exhale sweeping past your lips,

Feeling settled,

Feeling present,

Feeling your breath naturally ebbing and flowing through your body again.

Beautiful.

Setting down beside you any challenges that arise for a moment and allowing yourself to bask in the beauty of being able to show up as your full self with your children.

Sinking in the beauty of being in relation with someone void of any expectations,

Void of being bound to any judgment,

Just being loved unconditionally.

Any flaws that you believe to carry displayed as marks of beauty in the eyes of your children.

Mothering as liberation.

Mothering as an act of freedom.

Mothering as something that is freeing or frees us.

Taking in one final deep breath here and a big deep sigh out,

Allowing yourself to sit with the joy and love that may be present within you,

Allowing yourself to simply be here for just a moment.

And now beginning to bring your attention back into your body with slight and gentle movement of your limbs and back into the space that you're in by opening your eyes,

Checking in with yourself here and always.
