Hello and welcome.
The journey of parenthood is filled with moments of joy,
Pride,
And accomplishment.
It can also be a time of uncertainty and self-doubt.
Meditation is an imperfect process that is as unique as we are individual.
Well-meaning advice and expert opinion can often differ,
Be overwhelming or distracting.
After all,
No one knows your child better than you.
Meditation can be an effective tool to help navigate the complexities of parenthood.
Providing a calm,
Safe space to balance and reconnect with yourself.
Finding a comfortable posture,
Ideally with a straight spine so that you may be relaxed and attentive.
Take a moment to get comfortable,
Settling into the body,
Allowing the eyes to remain open in a soft,
Easy focus.
Effortlessly gazing at whatever is before you,
The eyes resting.
Focusing the vision as if dissolving into the scenery.
Allowing the peripheral vision to expand outward now.
Observing the expansiveness of the surrounding space.
Taking a deep breath in through the nose.
Feeling the air filling the lungs,
Allowing the eyes to gently close with a peaceful exhale.
Returning the breath now to its natural rhythm,
Sensing the body softening,
Relaxing into the present moment.
Simply noticing what happens when the attention rests openly and comfortably with the senses.
Knowing how the sensations change from this moment to the next.
Allowing the attention to be open and expansive.
Observing with a peaceful awareness as the mind settles with the breath.
Letting the awareness be open,
The sensation of each breath connecting this moment to the next.
Sensing the flow of feeling and breath in the body as it effortlessly occurs.
Sensing the unspoken awareness of knowing and connecting as it expands and deepens.
Observing the sensations in the body with a non-verbal awareness.
Feeling in that space.
From a place of calm and ease,
The senses receptive and open.
Connecting now to an inward listening.
The breath filling the moment with space and awareness.
Accepting the journey to this point and confident about the journey ahead.
The senses filling the here and now.
Watching what happens when the attention rests.
Just noticing how it changes from this moment to the next.
And how it stays the same.
Allowing the attention to be open and fluid with a peaceful awareness.
The attention resting with the senses.
Open and aware of the connection to your inner wisdom and welcoming the guidance and resources within.
Feeling the bridging effect trust can have.
Connecting you with your body and intuition.
With a deepening understanding,
Just letting the attention rest with the senses.
Noticing the sound of my voice,
The tone,
And the spaces between the words.
As the breathing just continues with this in-breath and this out-breath.
Allowing the mind to do whatever it wants to do now as feelings and sensations continue to flow as they naturally do.
Having the natural wisdom available to you and the possibility that all the resources you need at this time are already inside you.
Like your heart beating,
You don't have to think about it.
A knowing that is non-verbal,
That can be reconnected to at any time.
A feeling in the body as the next breath rises and falls.
And the next breath after that.
And the next after that.
If you wish to continue meditating,
Remain doing so for as long as you would like.
Or if you prefer,
Simply conclude at the end of this recording.
You may notice that the feeling cultivated during this session remains in the body with you throughout the day.
