Welcome to this guided meditation on emotional awareness.
Find your comfortable seated position.
Draw your awareness to the foundation of the spine and find stability in your posture,
Feeling grounded,
Rooted.
And then draw your awareness upwards vertebra by vertebra,
Finding more length in your spine,
More space between the vertebras.
Now with your next exhalation release any tensions from all your body.
Close your eyes.
Notice your breath.
Notice state of your mind,
State of your emotions,
And state of your physical body.
So let's begin by reconnecting with our breath.
So start lengthening each inhalation,
Deepening it,
Filling up your belly entirely when you breathe in.
And then whenever you breathe out,
Just gently observe how your belly is coming back in,
Effortlessly without any tension.
Making every inhalation full and every exhalation complete.
Breathing with your own rhythm,
Let's stay here for one minute focusing on the belly breath.
With every inhalation,
Filling your belly with the air like a balloon.
And with every exhalation observing how the belly is coming back gently in.
And with every exhalation observing how the belly is coming back gently in.
Now let's begin our today's journey of the emotional awareness.
First of all,
Ask yourself what kind of emotions do you desire,
What kind of emotions would you like to experience in your daily life?
By bringing that initial clarity into what do we actually want to feel,
We can have a great starting point into living it.
You might choose any emotion wherever comes into your mind right now.
It might be peace,
Might be joy,
Love,
Safety,
Freedom.
Wherever it is for you,
Just stay in the emotions which you desire to experience on your daily basis.
And now ask yourself another question.
What exact activities awakens in you those desired emotions?
When do you feel the way you really want to feel?
Let's say if you are choosing joy and peace,
When do you actually feel joyful and peaceful?
It might be when you are spending time with your beloved ones,
Maybe when you are meditating,
Doing something for yourself,
Reading,
Painting,
Walking in the nature.
Wherever it is for you,
Just bring into your mind couple of your favourite activities which makes you feel the way you want to feel.
Take a long deep inhalation,
Fill up your lungs entirely once again and exhale all the way out.
Let's set up intention for this day to experience the emotions which you wish to experience in your daily life.
By setting up this intention we also take a decision of bringing the activities which awakens in us the desired emotions into our life,
Into our today.
It sounds very simple,
However often times in the rush of our life,
In our routine we are getting lost,
Sometimes not finding enough time,
Sometimes being distracted,
Busy with everything else around.
We are not finding the time to do this what we truly love to do.
What brings us happiness,
Peace,
Purpose?
What makes us feel fulfilled?
Take one more deep inhalation grounding yourself again in the present moment and in your intention and exhale all the way out any tension,
Worries,
Struggles.
Now I am inviting you to look to the other side of your emotions.
So think which emotions you do not want to experience in your daily life.
But these emotions sometimes somehow keeps coming back even though you do not invite them,
You do not want them to be there,
They are showing up.
It may be sadness,
It may be anger,
It may be anxiety,
Stress,
Feeling overwhelmed,
Feeling lost or any other emotion which comes into you right now.
Just state it in your mind.
Now I am inviting you to think of the activities of the things which makes you feel the way you do not want to feel.
Let's say if you do not want to feel stagnation and anxiety,
What exactly awakens in your previous emotions,
Maybe you feel anxious if you are not well organized when you leave things for the last moment,
When you are not planned a little bit ahead,
How do you want to focus on your priorities?
Maybe you feel stagnation when you are not working on your bigger dreams,
When you are not bringing any joy and excitement and life into your life.
Just think what makes you feel that way and take a decision right now to not fall into the same pattern of feeling anxious,
Lost,
Stagnant,
Sad,
Fearful,
Set up intention to not do the same thing over and over again and to invite the positive emotions which you desire by doing the activities which makes you feel the way you want.
We have the ability to consciously choose the emotions which we experience on the daily basis.
Of course sometimes something big and intense happens in our life like loss of beloved ones,
Like accident,
However these things happen only from time to time,
The big shocks happen from time to time.
Our daily life is built on the small tiny steps which we take every single day,
On the small actions which we do every single day which builds into the overall way how we feel.
So I am inviting you to step into this day with emotional awareness by doing things which you want,
By living the life you want and by feeling the way you choose.
Once again let's take a long deep inhalation,
Lengthening your spine or opening your chest and exhale all the way out.
We cannot influence everything what is happening around us but we can influence the way we feel,
The way we respond to every situation which life brings us.
And this emotional awareness in our daily life also helps us to act accordingly,
To act with more peace,
More stability,
More love in the more challenging situations which life has for us from time to time.
Once we learn to experience emotions which we desire in our everyday life we can also bring it into these bigger moments where we really need more stability,
More openness and more peace.
