Made This Way

Hello this is Lou and welcome and thank you for checking this out. This is a different experience than what we normally practice and meditate together and I shared my first poem on here, Greatness is a Whisper, And I have been just completely awestruck and humbled at the response that I got from sharing that poem that I wrote and to see how much it connected with you all in your own journey has been something that I'm still understanding why. Because what happened for me is about in 2016 I wrote like five or six poems month after month that just felt like super inspired felt like it was something that needed to come out of me that was telling where I was on my journey and the things that I was dealing with internally. So to share that poem and to hear that so many people were sharing or connecting with that same journey it just shows the similarities of a spiritual path and I remember I would go and I would share these poems to stages where not everyone would get it and sometimes I would doubt if it was any good but I realized that it just needs to connect with the right people and you all here on on Insight Timer and those that are connected to the work that I put out it's because I know that we have we're on the same journey together and maybe I've a little bit farther along maybe you're farther along than I am I don't know but we are just helping and guiding each other along. So this one is another one I think it is the second one second or third one that I created in this five month time span in 2016. Like the first if you haven't listened you can listen either or but maybe see if you can have the space to get into a meditative place and that way you can notice and see if any of these words or any of these things land on you. So again thank you and go ahead and start to either come into your body or if you're listening to this somewhere else just prepare yourself to to listen. And before we get into it I have to note that there are some curse words towards the end of this so if you're listening to this with kids around just a heads up so you're not shocked and surprised by when they come. And this poem is called Made This Way. I was made this way I was made with a mind to think accurately made with a heart to love passionately made with the gut to follow fearlessly I was made this way I was made of the greatest substance of matter and there was a time where taking substance was all that mattered abuse on a body that I was given a hold in such high regard I fell short of that mark no emergency could get me to lift me of those ways those nights I lied awake in a paranoid skits fearing the self which I let rapidly slip I didn't see it in the moment but in the moment there was a seer I wasn't a seeker I didn't know the truth but I was on its map to find I was made this way I was made with a conscious to evolve and in my unconscious my angel saw that I was a promising case to resolve they came in awe inspiring ways knowing I was made for greatness they built a street in only five days seven months of planning four years on the quest and not a break yet some days my mind battles with fear and regret not regret I mean doubt I mean I was made this way and not made without I have the tools in my belt for God's sake I was made this way I was made in the likeness and the image I was made to walk tall on my pilgrimage I was made of the same stuff that made you not a fool unless I stop if I fall back and don't realize that my angels have got me because even in the lull of despair like a plane I know I was made for the air I was made to show others that they don't have to be less I'll be a martyr for their life of success in perfect timing I am guiding divine guidance from the ether I will never give up hope because my people will not suffer defeat I will not take failures how I'll learn realize this now before it's time to return if you only trusted your maker put faith in your creator you will see limitless sight that's right you were made to walk a righteous path I know what you're thinking fuck them if they laugh fuck them if they judge but always remember you got to show your haters love because your words are a boomerang your thoughts a reflection what you do unto others is your own introspection because I was made you were made they were made we were made the same thank you all for listening again if you want to connect with my other poems called greatness is a whisper and I look forward to sharing a few more that came from this time period in my life look forward to connecting on this as always namaste
