Well Lou... I have listened many times and I wish I had a written transcript because I really like the poem but I don't think that your delivery of it matches the words and message of the poem. I get that you were 'angry' during this period of writing... but I feel that the anger is is not a reflection of the words that speak more to me of regret and introspection, growth and forgiveness, all which is lost by the angry cadence of the delivery. And maybe your delivery is 'correct' and rings truest to you. But if you listen to studio recordings of Beatles and Dylan outtakes there are many different arrangements attempted (and certainly covers by other artists that changed the tone through other arrangements) before the choice is made for commercial release... a decision not always made by the artist alone.
Maybe I'm just too old for anger; I am weary of those rhythms. But I do appreciate your words.
Peace and Love,
Pattyland
