Sit comfortably with your back straight,
Shoulders relaxed,
Chest open and chin slightly down.
Hands in your lap and close your eyes.
Notice your breath.
Slowly and deeply inhale,
Moving your arms out and up.
At the end of the inhalation,
With the arms overhead,
Hold the breath.
Stretch your body,
Trying to reach the sky.
Then stretch to the right side.
Avoid twisting,
Gently stretching the muscles all along your side.
Now do the same on the left side.
Still holding your breath,
Come to center,
Palms together and slowly exhale.
Bring your hands down and let them rest in your lap.
Continue breathing in a soft way.
Notice all the sensations happening in your body right now.
Develop a strong sense of your entire body in the here and the now.
Ask your body if there is anything you can do to make the rest of the day more comfortable.
Let go of the experience and slowly,
Slowly open your eyes.
