I've created this visualization to transport children or anyone who acknowledges their inner child into a winter garden where they build their own snowman. As an ESL teacher, I've focused on vocabulary related to winter clothes, part of the body, winter weather as well as building as a snowman. The sound effects will help the listener wake up their senses.

Sit comfortably.

Feel the ground with your feet.

Relax your head and drop your shoulders.

Close your eyes.

Think about your breath.

Breathe in slowly.

Hold it.

And then breathe out.

Let's do it again.

Take a deep breath.

Notice how the air is going through your nose.

And hold it.

And exhale.

We will do it one more time.

Breathe in.

Hold it for a moment.

And finally breathe out.

See yourself in your bedroom.

You are still lying in bed.

It's Saturday morning and you are happy you don't have to go to school today.

Your nose catches a tasty smell coming from the kitchen.

Your mother is making your favorite breakfast.

Mmm,

Yummy.

You get up and look out of your window.

Yay,

It's snowing.

You can finally build a snowman.

You run to the bathroom to brush your teeth.

Then go back to your bedroom and decide to change into some warm winter clothes.

What are you going to wear?

Opal the wardrobe and take out an old pair of jeans and a blue jumper.

Put them on.

Then find a pair of socks to keep your feet warm.

Put on your winter jacket and gloves.

Wrap your woolen scarf around your neck.

And finally pull your red woolly hat over your ears.

You feel excited to go in the garden and play with the snow.

Open the front door and step into the crunchy softness.

Gentle snowflakes touch your cheeks.

Touch out your right arm and see how these tiny white dancing flakes land on your hand.

One after the other.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Look up at the sky.

It's covered in a blanket of dark gray cloud.

It's cold.

Collect some snow and start rolling it to make the body of your snowman.

The snow feels so soft and it's very easy for you to shape it.

Because the ball is big enough,

You put it next to the old pine tree,

Which seems to be the perfect place for your new chilly friend.

Then you scoop up some more snow and roll it to make the head for the snowman.

In a minute you place the smaller ball on a snowy body.

Step back and look at your creation.

Oh,

He needs a mouth.

What are you going to use?

A small stick or a few stones?

Now let's think about his eyes.

You remember there's some coal in the basement so you run to fetch two pieces.

How about his nose?

We can use a carrot,

A stick or maybe you have a better idea.

Oh,

Don't forget that the snowman needs arms as well.

Now when his body is ready,

Let's make him feel nice and warm.

Are you going to lend him your scarf and gloves?

Do you think he needs a hat as well?

Soon you finish.

The snowman is very beautiful and he's smiling at you happily.

You give him a smile back.

Your hands start to feel cold so you head back home.

That delicious breakfast is waiting for you in the kitchen.

Now let's focus on your breath again.

Feel the air coming in and out,

In and out.

Take a deep breath in and then slowly breathe out.

Move your body gently.

Jiggle your feet,

Your hands.

You can open your eyes now.
