I created this visualization for my students in order to take them on an autumnal "virtual" walk in the forest. So while sitting comfortably, you'll be able to indulge yourself in this nice mix of autumn sights and sounds.

Close your eyes,

Sit comfortably and relax.

Take in a very deep,

Slow breath,

Hold it and then breathe out slowly.

Let's do it again.

Breathing deeply,

Hold it and exhale.

Notice how the breath feels when it goes through your nose,

Down your throat and fills your stomach.

We'll do it one more time.

Exhale slowly and then exhale.

See yourself on a hill overlooking a small town.

It is early morning and the cold wind makes you shiver.

Your nose catches the smell of smoke coming from the nearby houses.

You start walking towards a wooded area to the right.

There are a lot of beech trees and oak trees that are wearing their golden or terminal crowns.

The ground is covered with yellow,

Brown,

Red and orange leaves which have formed a soft carpet.

You also spot some berry bushes and pick a few blackberries.

Their sweetness lights up your mouth.

You remember the time when you were a child and used to play with the dry leaves.

This sweet memory brings a smile to your face.

Then you see a squirrel on one of the oak trees.

It is hurrying to collect nuts for the coming cold autumn days.

You pause for a moment because you do not want to disturb this cute little animal.

Where is it going to hide the nuts?

Your eyes follow the squirrel and you notice that it is taking the wonderful treats to a small hollow in the tree.

You hear a thud and see that the conker has fallen off a branch.

Bend down and pick it up.

Then collect three more conkers.

One,

Two,

Three.

Their shell feels thorny but you know that the nut inside will allow you to create a beautiful ornament to adorn your bedroom with.

Put them in your rucksack and close it tightly.

Suddenly you are distracted by a flock of swallows in the sky.

You look up and for a moment it seems to you that their wings are flapping goodbye to you.

You know that they will feel warm in the south if you are grateful for witnessing this special farewell scene.

Now let's go back to your breath.

Breathe in slowly and then out.

Breathe in and out.

Move your fingers gently,

Your toes.

Stretch your body and when you are ready open your eyes.
