This visualization has been created to serve the purpose of relaxation and help you get transported onto the English beach. I’m an English teacher and have created it so that students can practice vocabulary related to “summer” and “beach”: experience sights and sounds from the English seaside, focus better and become more mindful.

Sit comfortably and relax.

Take a deep breath in,

Hold it and then breathe out slowly.

If you wish,

You can close your eyes.

Let's take another deep breath.

Hold it and exhale.

We'll do it one more time.

Breathe in slowly,

Hold it for a few seconds and then breathe out.

See yourself on the beach,

Feel the warm sunshine on your skin.

You notice a family to your left.

The father is building a sandcastle with the children whilst the mother is collecting some shells.

Look to your right now.

You see a little boy with a net and a bucket.

He is trying to catch a crab which is scurrying across the rocks looking for a safe place to hide.

You decide to walk towards the water.

The waves are gently lapping around your feet.

They make the sand feel moist and gooey under your toes.

You step into the water which is pleasantly warm.

And you spot a baby jellyfish drifting with the tide.

Suddenly your nose catches the aroma of salt and vinegar which makes you turn around.

You see a young couple enjoying some traditional seaside fish and chips.

They're eating with their fingers and licking their lips.

The smell has attracted two hungry seagulls.

They're flying above and making lots of squawking noises.

Then you hear the sound of excited children as an ice cream van pulls up.

It plays its familiar welcoming melody.

You decide to join the queue to get your favorite ice lolly.

Now let's go back to your breath.

Breathe in slowly and then out.

Breathe in and out.

Move your fingers gently,

Your toes,

Stretch your body and when you're ready open your eyes.
