Good morning.
Before the busyness of today begins,
Before you get bombarded with to-do lists,
How about we take a moment to honor the present moment?
By honoring the present moment we can ensure that we're going to have a successful day.
And I don't mean success as in managing to complete your to-do lists.
I mean success being measured by how you interact with your day,
How you respond to the things that go on,
How you feel on the inside as the day progresses.
Because true success is determined by how you are interacting with your day,
Not by the amount you complete.
It's by what's going on inside of you.
If you allow yourself to get to a point of complete overwhelm throughout the day,
But you manage to tick some things off your list,
Is that true success?
Or is success the person that gets to the end of their day and they've breathed and they have a smile on their face and they're feeling grateful and they're feeling full?
That's what breeds success.
So today we're going to be focusing on creating that level of success throughout the day.
We're not going to focus on being productive or getting things done.
It's all going to be about that inner management.
So I'd like you to take a deep breath in through your nose and release that through your mouth.
Once again,
Take a deep breath in through your nose and release that through your mouth.
And as you do so,
I'd like you to just take a moment to notice how your body's feeling right now,
With no judgment and just observation.
Is there tightness or tension in certain areas of your body?
Just become aware of how you're feeling for a moment.
It's a brand new day and with it there's a brand new chance to grow,
To show up for yourself,
Not just for your to-do list.
A chance to succeed.
Once again,
Take another breath in through your nose and say to yourself,
Today I rise with purpose.
And then release that breath.
Once again,
Breathe in through your nose.
Today I rise with purpose and release through your mouth.
One more time,
Inhale through the nose.
Today I rise with purpose and release through the mouth.
Let that intention sink in.
Feel the pride that you have just set that intention for the day.
That you're giving yourself this time,
This opportunity to focus on you today.
Picture your day ahead,
Not every little detail,
But maybe just the shape of it.
Where will you go?
What will you do?
Who might you interact with?
And how do you want to feel as you move through it all?
Maybe you want to feel peaceful,
Focused,
Maybe open-hearted and confident.
Pick a word.
Let that word rise from within you.
Not from an obligation,
But more from a desire.
And this is your core feeling for the day.
Let that be your compass.
Every time you take a breath you'll be breathing that word in and it will be settling into your body.
And it's going to colour your movements and your pace and your choices.
Now I'd like you to repeat after me the following words.
I am capable of handling anything that comes my way.
I move with clarity and with confidence.
I welcome the opportunity this day brings.
And now just rest for a few more breaths,
Breathing naturally.
Because you don't have to rush out of this.
Just let your nervous system fully absorb the sense of presence and power that we've cultivated today.
This morning let your shoulders relax even more and let your face soften.
Let your breath move you gently back into awareness.
Remember to bring your word with you into the rest of your day.
Let it guide you like a compass.
Recognise that you are in control.
Not what you need to do.
Soon you'll begin your day and the world will invite you back in.
And as you do so,
Just remember that you're not just reacting to the day,
You're also creating it.
With every intention,
Every action,
Every choice,
Every breath.
And today we've already started with stillness.
And that's already a form of success.
So when you're ready,
Please bring your attention back to your surroundings.
Allow a yawn if you need it.
Or maybe stretch your arms behind your back or above your head.
And let go with a soft smile.
Because today is yours.
Go and create your version of success.
