Hello,
Everyone.
Welcome to our weekly meditation.
Go ahead and get comfortable.
And let's start with our three deep breaths.
Breathing in through our nose and out through our mouth.
Go ahead and drop our shoulders down.
You might even wanna do a few shoulder rolls.
And drop our shoulders down.
Make sure your spine is aligned and upright.
Just move our head from side to side.
Maybe even a neck roll or two.
Just really saying hello to the body,
To this time and place.
Always like to ground myself.
The date,
Time,
The year.
So just do that silently.
And let's just reset our body,
Mind,
And spirit in present time at our love and affinity for ourselves.
Knowing the goodness of ourselves.
Knowing there's a reason we're embodied on planet earth this time.
Let's set our grounding connection to simply a visual that connects our body into the earth.
Might be tree roots or a waterfall.
Something that comes off your back body,
Your sits bones,
And just easily penetrates through your cushion and your floor down into the earth.
So with each exhale,
You're just releasing deeper into the earth.
Anything that's troubling you.
Any body aches and pains.
Any old programming.
Maybe you're running a program from your childhood.
Or from a friend that you visited with.
You're just resetting your own energetic body.
You're owning your spirit.
You're calling in your sovereignty.
And with each exhale,
Simply releasing back into earth that which doesn't serve you today.
That which is not aligned with your highest vibration,
Unconditional love.
As you allow gravity and mother earth to pull out of you and away from you that which doesn't serve.
Just feel that depth and stability of the earth.
Feel that pull.
Feel how as you're being pulled down,
You're also being supported and buoyed and cradled by the great mother earth.
Now,
Our gentle journey together today is to investigate and experience an allowing.
Buddha teaches us that change and impermanence and impermanence is part and parcel of life.
Just think about the life of a flower.
Think about from seedling to first shoots,
To leaves,
To bud,
To flower,
To seed,
To senescence,
To falling over,
To mulch,
To the rebirth of the seed,
Right?
Nothing in life stays the same.
But we often get caught in wanting stability,
Wanting things to be the way they've always been or the way they are now.
So I invite you to bring some element of your life,
Some piece of change that's come to you recently,
Change that has been dropped in your lap,
Change that has happened to you or around you or through you.
Perhaps there's some resistance to it.
So just call into your heart and mind state some little piece of life,
Maybe not the biggest change in your life,
But some little piece of life that feels sticky.
You feel sticky around.
You don't want this to change.
Resisting this change in some way.
Just call that into your heart.
That experience,
That situation.
Just sit with it for a moment.
Just bring it into your heart and mind and just maybe see what it is,
What is the change that's happening.
And bring into your awareness your resistance of it if there is any resistance.
Maybe you're denying it or pushing it away,
Getting angry,
Feeling frustrated.
Maybe there's other people involved.
Maybe it's a loss of a friend or a family member.
Maybe there's other people involved.
Maybe it's a loss of a relationship or a way of life or a schedule.
Just see the situation for what it is.
See the change.
See your reaction to it.
And as you notice the change in your reaction,
Let's just bring some non-judgmental tenderness.
Witnessing just as a good friend would listen to you if you needed to vent or share about an experience.
Just with loving attention and tenderness and no judgment.
See the change.
See your reaction to the change.
If you're comfortable,
You might even say,
That's a lot of change,
Sweetie.
Understand that that could be hard.
And as you just tenderly witness this experience unfolding in your life,
You might offer some gratitude.
There's gratitude to be found with people who are supporting you.
Parts of the situation that may be going well.
Just allow yourself to see the complexity.
It's never easy.
All bad or all good.
See if there's some opportunities for gratitude.
Perhaps there's a friend who's part of the situation that's helping you.
Perhaps you have gratitude for a safe house or a secure job.
It's another part of the fabric that allows you to broaden your awareness beyond just the scope of the change.
And if it's quite a lot of upheaval,
Perhaps there's just simple gratitude that the earth is holding you now.
If you are in meditation,
In community,
The earth is witnessing your change.
Let's just come back into the heart.
Let's just come back into the heart.
The heart itself is where we hold love and compassion for ourselves and others.
You might imagine gently allowing the heart,
The heart chakra to expand in loving awareness,
Expansive consciousness.
And it just tenderly embraces this change and your reaction to the change.
And as the heart expands,
This little or large irritation,
Naturally softens.
And just let that easily occur.
Let the heart chakra open.
Breathe into your heart.
And let that love and understanding just gently surround the irritation.
And it might not dissolve or go away completely,
But just know that it's held in tenderness.
You are a human on this earth journey.
And there's gonna be hiccups.
We'll sit in silent meditation for one more minute,
And then we'll bring it back up.
And as we sit in silent meditation,
We'll sit in silent meditation for one more minute,
And then we'll ring the bell to close.
