Hi my friend,

Arrive here in this very moment,

Maybe close your eyes gently and just soften.

Soften all the tension,

Begin to release all the worry,

Free your mind of the overwhelm.

Breath in,

Let it go.

Allow yourself to just be as you are.

Notice what feelings are visiting.

Acknowledge the duality within you.

The holidays can be so beautiful and filled with so much joy and also very overwhelming.

It can bring feelings of sadness,

Nostalgia.

Just allow.

Allow what is versus what you think should be.

Release it.

If it feels okay,

Place your hands over your heart.

Whisper to yourself,

I don't have to be perfect to be loved.

What if you don't have to go above and beyond and do it all in order to be seen and worthy,

Valued and loved.

What if you did the least this year,

Bringing in more presence over perfection.

The best gift we can give others is our attention,

Quality time,

Listening with love.

That you can do easily,

My friend.

And it's priceless.

Steady inhale.

Steady exhale.

Can you start to release any stories you're telling yourself?

Any unnecessary expectations you're putting on yourself?

Let it all go.

You are enough.

You always do enough.

Bring awareness to the inner child that's within you.

If it feels safe,

Maybe visualize this version of you.

A younger you.

Maybe see yourself around the holidays.

Maybe notice if your energy was carefree.

If you were present and joyful over all the little things.

And I know,

Most of our inner childs just want to be seen,

Be heard,

Be enough.

Tell your inner child something that you need to hear or that you needed to hear.

Maybe it's you don't have to always be the light.

You don't always need to be helping.

You can rest.

Allow yourself to feel this peace of knowing you simply existing and showing up is enough.

Let it go.

Maybe let this visualization of your inner child gently float away.

Returning back to the you that you are right in this moment.

You don't have to try so hard.

It can be easy.

This holiday season can feel light.

Give yourself this gift.

Peace over perfection.

Presence over perfection.

Protect your energy,

My friend.

Let it be different this year.

Inhale deeply.

Let it go.

Listen to these words.

At the end of the day,

I want to be proud of the way I loved.

I want to be proud of the way I placed my heart into the hands of others.

I want to be proud of the way I chose vulnerability.

Of the way I chose tenderness.

How I never stopped choosing it no matter what my soul experienced.

At the end of the day,

I want to be proud of the way I fought for others.

Of the way I dedicated myself to making them feel seen and understood.

I want to be proud of the way I showed up.

Of the way I tried my best to speak beauty into the parts of them that no one else clapped for.

At the end of the day,

I want to be proud of the way I did not let fear convince me to keep myself hidden from others.

I want to be proud of the way I cared.

I want to be proud of the way I loved.

Let it go.

This holiday season will be different.

May you bring in this gentle awareness,

This beautiful intention.

Sink into the calm within the chaos.

The ease within the effort.

Peace over perfection.

Slow breath in.

Big sigh.

Really become aware of the ground beneath you.

How it's steady.

Choose to go really slowly now.

Bringing awareness back into your hands,

Your feet.

Maybe find movement in your shoulders,

Your head,

Your neck.

This is the first meditation I've done on perfectionism. I love how you put all the elements together for the meditation helping us how to manage perfectionism and replace it with peace. So profound!!! This made me cry. Indeed Eileen, peace over perfection! This time around the Xmas holidays for me, for a change were quite calm and not overwhelming, didnt had many plans. You're voice and the music in this, are just great! Happy new year!
