Ushering Back Into The Body And The Day

This meditation is one I commonly use at the end of a session with a client, to gently bring them back into their body and to this day from wherever they may have wandered during our time together. This is also a part of a larger meditation series incorporated in a Reiki Level 1 and 2 Course. (38)

Hello!

My name is Eden,

And I am a therapist,

Reiki teacher,

And meditation guide.

Now whether you've found this meditation through one of my Reiki courses or just through the web of life,

Welcome!

These meditations are intended to deepen your relationship to your intuition and gifts,

And facilitate an understanding of your own internal landscape.

Each meditation is also a tool that can be offered to yourself or a client,

So I invite you to notice what shifts within you before,

During,

After,

Beyond the meditation,

Cataloging the effects with words and feelings and sensations.

Just letting yourself take note.

Allow it to be personal and universal.

Let's begin!

Now this is just a simple little meditation that I often guide clients in when they are coming back into the room and back into their life after a session,

After our time together.

So just go ahead and find some comfort in your body,

And a sense of relaxation.

Maybe letting a wave just wash over you gently.

Relaxing all the big muscles,

And then the little muscles,

And then the mind.

Dropping into right here.

Deep breath in,

Long breath out.

Letting yourself be right here.

Right here.

And then gently turning your awareness to your breath.

Watching the breath as it moves in and out of the body.

Watching as your body turns air into breath,

Into life.

Making it yours,

And also giving something right back.

And then you gently start to notice how your body shifts to accommodate each breath.

Maybe noticing the widening of the rib cage,

The length of the chest,

The spine,

The settling of the body.

Just watching yourself receive the breath,

Changing with each breath.

And then allowing yourself to notice how your clothes also change in relation to the body,

To the breath.

Maybe the table,

The chair beneath you.

Noticing all those tiny little shifts in the world around you,

Just beyond your skin,

That happen because you are breathing.

Because you are here.

And then sending that awareness out a little further now so you sense the corners of the room,

The floor beneath,

The ceiling above.

Just allowing yourself to reorient yourself a little bit further than just your physicality.

Softly reminding yourself where you are without needing to see it.

This is the first step of integrating that spiritual plane into our physical reality.

We let ourselves be with what is right here again.

After having wandered off,

After having received or released or both,

Everything in between.

We come back to this place,

To this moment,

Where all of our potential still lives.

Through our presence,

Through our choice,

And through the space that we make for ourselves.

So just taking one more moment here to thank yourself for making the space for you today.

When we make that choice to orient towards self,

If just for a moment,

The work is already happening.

The magic is already here.

Deep breath in,

Long breath out.

And knowing there is no rush to return to the day,

I will give you as much time as you need in order to do so.

And whenever you do return,

I welcome you home.
