My name is Eden,
And I am a therapist,
Reiki teacher,
And meditation guide.
Now whether you've found this meditation through one of my Reiki courses or just through the web of life,
Welcome.
These meditations are intended to deepen your relationship to your intuition and gifts,
And facilitate an understanding of your own internal landscape.
Each meditation is also a tool that can be offered to yourself or a client,
So I invite you to notice what shifts within you before,
During,
After,
Beyond the meditation,
Cataloging the effects with words and feelings and sensations,
Just letting yourself take note.
Allow it to be personal and universal.
Let's begin.
And today we are going to be exploring many different layers of our felt sense,
All rolled into one meditation.
So wherever you are,
Go ahead and offer yourself some comfort,
Physically.
Maybe the eyes have already closed.
Just starting to let yourself settle in,
Relaxing muscle away from bone,
Letting all of the dislocated muscles in your face relax,
Letting your sits bones ground down just a little bit more.
Deep breath in,
And soft breath out.
And then go ahead and lay one hand over the heart space,
And then lay the other hand right on top of it.
And just notice first what moving the hands over the heart does to you.
Maybe noticing that your attention flows here more overtly,
That you become a little bit more aware of the breath.
Just noticing what shifts gently happen in moving the physical body into a new pose.
And just starting by really grounding down into that.
Into exactly what you can sense through the physical body.
Allowing your hands to become sensitive in the most pure meaning of the word.
The hands picking up the texture of the breath,
The pace of the breath.
The subtle changes in the body with the inhale and the exhale,
That with each inhale,
The palms fill up more with the body,
And the exhale creates a little more space.
Maybe you can feel the heartbeat beneath your palms,
Feeling any muscles that are tensing,
Relaxing with the breath.
The contours of your skin,
The warmth or cool of your body,
The texture of your clothes.
Just letting yourself to sense,
Knowing there's nothing more that you need to do with that information as you perceive it.
But can you just notice it,
And hold it,
And allow yourself to be closer to yourself in this way.
Deep breath in,
Long breath out.
And then we're going to go ahead and edge just a little bit more into our perception,
Linking it with the imaginal.
So just knowing that below both of these palms is the beautiful muscle of our heart,
Is our chest.
These muscles through the front of the chest,
The back,
Upper back,
The spine,
All of that,
Just below the palms.
And can you start to just picture those parts of you just below the palms,
Whether you can overtly feel them moving or not.
Knowing that you have felt the heartbeat,
Can you start to just sense the heart itself.
Some might imagine holding the heart in the palms.
Some might imagine just being with the heart in its wholeness.
Some might really work to picture in the mind's eye from all angles and sides.
Some may be just continuing to hold this idea,
This notion of being with the whole heart,
And not just the movement,
The heartbeat in it.
And just letting yourself be here with whatever is arriving.
There's no wrong way to try.
And maybe,
Just maybe,
You start to open up your awareness,
Softening so that you sense the muscles further beneath.
Just imagining them in your body,
Seeing them in your mind's eye.
Imagine your palm is making contact with them instead of just the front of the body.
And noticing what that's like.
Imagining this all the way back into the spine,
The upper back,
The skin on the back,
All the way through the body under the palms.
As if you were coming into contact with each of these layers,
What would that be like,
Look like,
Feel like?
Being so in your mind and in your body right here,
That you allow yourself to sense something beyond what you can feel through the palms right beneath you.
Good.
And this next layer here,
Now we usher in the emotion that comes through holding the heart,
Being with the heart.
So can you now work to just try to release holding the physical sensations so closely and getting more into the representation of the heart.
This grand alchemizer within us,
This heartbeat,
This pace of life that creates us,
That allows us to be and maintain,
Exist,
But is also not really us.
As we are so much more deep and rich,
But ultimately supported by this beautiful beating heart.
And regardless of what is going on in our lives,
The heart continues to beat.
This unconditional love,
This care,
This support that's right underneath our skin.
You are supported.
You are cared for from the inside out,
Even if you aren't pouring your attention into your vessel.
The heart naturally nurtures.
So just noticing what emotions are arising in you as you just allow yourself to be present with the power,
The alchemy,
The magic and the mundane that exists in your heart space.
Whatever is here is yours.
A gift,
A lesson,
A multitude.
No need to do anything with that emotion or emotions now.
But can you just be with it,
Letting it flow through you just like the heartbeat.
So good.
And then we move into now the energetic,
The ethereal layer of being.
Purely imaginal,
Yet still tapped into your system because this will always be personal,
Whatever your mind finds.
So just starting to imagine a green light here in the heart space.
And that's really the only guidance I'm going to specifically give you here.
Can you just start to imagine or feel a green light in the heart space?
And allowing yourself to notice the shade,
The texture,
The size of this light.
Can you look at it from all angles,
Feel it from all angles?
How does it change?
What's consistent?
What's the weight of this light,
The sound of this light?
Letting the imagination,
The power of creativity come online because we will all create something different here.
And we can let this be information for self.
So just holding this green light.
And maybe too,
As you hold it,
You have a felt sense around any emotion attached to this light.
Anything that it might need or is currently experiencing,
Hoping for,
Releasing.
What sort of energy and emotion is behind what you are feeling in this green light?
Again,
Letting whatever comes up be enough,
Releasing the ego that can so beautifully and protectively try to create excuses around whatever comes up.
Can you just let it?
Knowing there's no wrong way to be.
Knowing the only way to get something out of this is to just trust and let go.
So what does this light need in order to shine brighter,
Wider,
More powerfully?
Continuing soft,
Subtle breathing as you ask this question and gently let some form of an answer float in.
What does this light need?
And now with whatever answer floated in,
Can you somehow now offer that answer to yourself through the physical body?
Offering an answer,
Felt sense through the physical body.
Experiencing that answer in your Soma right now just for a breath or two.
Gifting yourself this lived experience,
Linking,
Imaginal,
Physical,
Emotional.
Turns out it was always intertwined,
Yet sometimes we just forget.
And in this moment now,
Gently letting the corners of your mouth curl up slightly.
Deep breath in and soft breath out.
And releasing your hands from heart,
If they're still there,
Down to your lap.
Thanking yourself for making time for your presence and curiosity today.
And knowing there is no rush to return and that the heart is always here supporting you,
Even without your attention being on it.
You can return to the day in your own time,
Trusting that you are innately supported in this life and the next.
