So just taking any final little movements that you need.
In order to make yourself just like 10% more comfortable.
And then just starting to let yourself settle into your space.
Maybe that's finally closing the eyes from top to bottom.
Maybe that's imagining all of your muscles relaxing away from the bone.
Sometimes I like to imagine the heart and mind kind of melding into one.
As if the mind moves into the chest.
I'm just starting to let yourself be a little bit more right here.
Good.
I'm just taking a moment here to to Imagine that there's just a little basket right by your door.
In that basket we put any ruminations,
We put the to-do list for the day,
The week,
We put any of those should'ves,
Could'ves,
Would'ves Just imagining setting the day down,
Even setting life up to now.
Out in that basket.
Letting the mind gently relax away creating just a little more space.
Between the day And right now.
Knowing that all of those thoughts will be there for you to return to.
If you'd so like.
But we just don't need them here right now.
And knowing too that you can always add to that basket.
In this space.
If you notice the mind has wandered away from the present moment.
Back into any of those spaces.
Just noticing where you've wandered.
And gently placing that topic,
That idea,
In the basket.
And coming back to the present.
With the mind a little more relaxed now,
We move our awareness,
Our attention onto the breath.
To starting to really notice the breath,
This breath.
The one that's moving through you right now.
No need to label the breath or judge the breath or praise the breath.
No need to even try to change the breath.
What would it be like to just be with each breath?
Flexing this mental muscle of presence so strongly that you let each breath be new.
Because even though it's familiar,
It is new.
Each breath,
New air alchemized into life just by you bringing it in.
Cutting yourself.
Just be floored,
Be awed by that.
Alchemical process that's very much alive in you.
That very much is you alive.
The breath always here supporting us whether we are thinking about it or not.
But that a piece of us we can still control if we need or would like to.
And the breath as our gateway into the mind through the body.
And that so much is possible just through the lens of our breath.
This bottom-up approach to change.
To healing,
To realignment.
So knowing that if all you do for the rest of our time together is focus on each breath,
That would be enough.
More than enough.
Perhaps everything.
And know too that it's okay to start to let your awareness,
Your attention,
Gently soften,
Starting to relax its grip on watching the breath.
Settling in even more.
Sometimes I imagine my consciousness just pooling in the back of the body.
Settling.
Almost as if.
You start to settle in that space that exists five feet below the ocean.
Seeing the top of the waves from five feet below,
Starting to feel that steadiness,
That stillness.
While being aware that the change,
The ebb,
The flow is still there.
It's just above you.
At a bit of a distance.
And you find this sense of calm five feet below the surface.
Settling into a deeper level of consciousness in your being.
Knowing that you are the steadiness in the change.
And settling into that steady part of you where that stillness exists.
And just knowing you don't have to stay here perfectly.
But you're starting to allow yourself to access it.
Starting to return to it when you notice you've wandered back up towards the surface.
Can you find some familiarity in the feelings that you settle into now?
And I'm just going to take these next few minutes to clear the space and both of us.
As you just continue to settle into that stillness more and more.
Relaxing the physical body.
Letting the mind follow suit.
Sinking gently below the surface of the day into your stillness.
And a part of the clearing process is ushering in the traditional Reiki symbols,
Placing them on your system.
And it can provide a baseline for your energy system.
As I place that power symbol over you.
The visual is kind of like two ringlets just splitting at the top and spiraling down the body.
Separating into the left and right sides of the body,
That feminine and masculine.
And so we'll just work.
In part of that energetic body to realign the masculine and feminine into their one being.
And it's probably the most natural separation.
In our human systems.
To lean on the doing.
And then lean on the beingness.
Soft.
And then the power.
And how can we interweave those a little bit more fully?
To have softness in the power.
Masculine in the feminine and vice versa.
Like that true meaning of the yin yang symbol.
It's about the black dot in the white.
The white in the black.
Being a part of the whole.
So just taking a moment to notice any muscles in the face that have tensed back up and just gently letting those go.
Finding more space between the ears and shoulders.
Deep breath in,
Soft breath out.
Taking a few nourishing breaths on purpose.
Is softening to the system a little bit more.
And with that mental and emotional symbol placed over you,
The visual that appears is more like.
.
.
Hmm,
An orchid flower.
Slightly joined but still petals a little separate there at the bottom.
This natural beauty inherent in this presentation.
And so there's this feeling here that it's not meant to be whole,
But it is meant to join.
To join,
To overlap,
To support one another.
The masculine to support the feminine and vice versa.
Not needing to be the same thing,
But being a part of each other's scaffolding.
Support.
Allowing yourself to be the full width of you.
While still being whole.
Knowing that too is always going to be fluid.
That we no longer need to compartmentalize parts of ourselves.
For that wholeness.
In fact,
It's very difficult to get to that wholeness with that compartmentalizing.
So again,
Just taking note of any tenseness that's crept back into the body,
The shoulders,
The face,
Letting it go.
As we now just have a bit of a baseline to return to.
To read again at the end of session.
I open now,
Intending to be at the crown of the head.
You're welcome to move your attention,
Your awareness there.
Or just stay in that calm,
Still place within you.
And here,
The crown.
And perceiving just little knots on the head,
Just little pockets of tension.
Where these kind of rabbit holes or ruminations can exist where we can pour energy where we might rather pour our energy into something more constructive and supportive.
Very natural too.
Hmm.
.
.
Try to prepare for the worst.
And.
.
.
We don't need to prepare so thoroughly sometimes.
We want to call that energy back,
Release those little knots,
Finding more spaciousness.
We're going to start with a little visualization of breath.
So we're going to imagine.
That this beautiful cleansing white light moves in through the nose and circles to the back of the head,
Up to the crown,
And with the exhale circles down the forehead and back out the nose.
So matching this visual to your breath,
Imagining with the inhale,
This white light comes in,
Scoops to the back of the head,
Up to the top,
And then exhale over the front and out.
And just continuing to link this visual to your breath.
Mind and body interweaving.
And if this stays purely imaginal,
That's perfect.
Perhaps you start to feel like the breath is moving in this way.
The breath is that cleansing white light.
Circling the head.
Feeling the head relax with each breath.
And letting some of those little pockets of denseness be carried out by the white light,
The breath.
I'm just staying with that visual for a few more rounds here.
Really double checking your mental work seeing that white light throughout the whole head.
Even in the middle,
The very back,
The very top.
The very front all the way down through the nose.
3 more right here with this visual now.
This breath pattern and nowhere else.
Good,
So good And with that next exhale you can gently let that breath pattern and visual go.
Letting the breath flow in and out as it pleases.
And just taking a moment to scroll through the system.
Noticing anything that might feel new.
That might feel familiar.
Just taking note.
And then letting yourself settle back in.
To that place within you,
That quiet,
Calm stillness.
Settling down closer to the ocean floor.
Deep breath in,
Gentle breath out.
I'm just taking some time now with the back of the head into the neck.
That kind of link between the throat,
The third eye.
And even the crown.
This upper chakra channel.
And in this channel,
It's our more ethereal space,
Right?
Our spoken word,
Our intuition,
Our connection to the world around us,
Beyond us,
Within us.
There's so much beauty in the intangible.
And the other side of that is that the work can feel a little more nebulous sometimes.
Little less clear or overt or even actionable.
It's also very common to have some tension in the back of the neck as the spine meets the brain.
This place where all of our information comes into our awareness.
Through our five senses and we bring it up into the brain to be decoded Though most of the information just floats right through and we don't really hold onto it.
What we do hold on to,
What we deem important,
Is more often than not dictated by our lived experience up to now.
What draws our eye?
What do we deem important?
What do we deem interesting or dangerous?
What do we need to know?
So in this space sometimes there can be some build up in our system when our focus has shifted towards things.
That we recognize.
We might not want to be putting our attention on,
But we still are.
And that's okay.
Because we're humans.
Built to ebb and flow like the waves of the ocean.
And yet we are not the waves.
We're the ocean.
Just like the sand on the beach.
That moves with each wave.
Changing locations.
We're settling into the idea that you are the beat.
And that no matter the change,
The movement,
There is still stillness here.
In recognizing the large.
Part of your being.
That's always still here.
The capital S self.
And so I just want to work here to clear some of these little roadblocks and hurdles that have appeared.
And the back of the neck.
The spine into the mind.
To refocus your precious energy.
Onto what is more supportive.
To where you'd like your attention to go.
And yet.
In the end.
The first part of this is to access care.
And grace.
For the version of you that has put the attention on the thing you'd rather not look at.
Maybe just taking a moment to ask yourself what focusing on these ruminations does offer you.
A moment of honesty.
Not of self-deprecation,
But of care and curiosity.
That there's something there still.
That might feel safe or supportive,
Even if we know it's what we might not want.
In the larger scheme,
In our larger sense of self.
Recognizing it as a pebble on the beach.
And whatever answer you find.
About what that offers you.
Can you soften the whole body to it?
Perhaps even letting the corners of your lips turn up while the rest of the face is relaxed.
Thanking some part of you.
For exactly what is here.
And with your next exhale,
Letting those muscles go,
That focus go.
Knowing that witnessing yourself can be enough.
Can be a number.
When we do it from a place of care.
And I'm just going to take an extra few minutes here to really open up the energetic system.
In the back of the throat,
The head,
The crown.
So that this energy knows where to go in order to finally leave the system.
That we thank it for being here,
For whatever it did offer you,
And.
.
.
Its expiration date is here.
Pattern no longer supports in the way that you're seeking.
And the beautiful thing here.
Is that when we give.
The world,
The universe,
This old stuck energy.
It lifts the world up too.
World now has more energy to alchemize,
To turn into more beautiful things.
Just like giving that carbon dioxide to the universe with our exhale.
It's not useful to us anymore,
But it still supports the world around us.
Full support in the release.
And in that same vein,
Just taking three breaths here.
Where you really focus on that exhale,
Squeezing all the stale air out.
Seeing it as a gift that you can give the space around you.
Clearing out the cobwebs of the soul to alchemize the universe.
Good.
And with that third exhale,
You can let that focus go.
Letting the breath return naturally.
Fully relax.
And we move down now into the shoulders and the heart space.
You're welcome to have your attention there or just gently resting.
In that place of stillness within you.
That is you.
And in this heart space on these shoulders there's this weight That's anchored in.
.
.
The heart space right below each clavicle.
Of travels up above the shoulders and towards the outside of the body almost in the shape like football shoulder pads.
So we're just working to remove this weight.
It's not necessarily super heavy,
But there's a bulk to it that inhibits your true movement.
We want to free the heart into its highest mobility.
And yet there are some protective features still present.
Understandably so.
There's an idea here that bravery,
Courage.
Those words are very different than fearless.
Doing things scared is how we bolster our resilience,
Our trust in self,
Our sense of exploration of clarifying this version of self.
Deep breath in,
Soft breath out,
Relaxing any tension in the face,
The shoulders,
The body.
It's arrived again.
As I work to lift this weight,
This protection off the shoulders.
Just allowing yourself to start to breathe in such a way where The shoulders just grow wider with each breath.
Not needing to push them back and down,
But just wider.
Letting yourself take up more space.
Noticing what that feels like.
Noticing any muscle tension in the front of the chest.
It wants to pull the shoulders back over the heart,
Perhaps.
And just seeing if you can release those muscles,
Letting them unwind,
The shoulders finding more space naturally.
It's really normal.
For us to tense parts of our bodies when we start to ask the breath to move in new ways.
And that's okay for the first few breaths as we reorient the body gently,
The shoulders growing out wide.
And then once we have some familiarity in that slightly new body orientation,
We want to relax any of those muscles that have forced the change,
Forced the shoulders out.
Because when we relax all of those muscles,
There's more space in the body for that breath.
And breath brings the newness.
Breath brings the pathway for the old to be released.
So just noticing any force,
Any muscle tension that still exists in the upper chest as you invite in this slightly altered breath pattern.
And just asking yourself,
How can I find more space,
More relaxation?
Last force.
Allowing yourself to access that feeling.
Deepening into relaxation.
Right here.
On purpose.
And just allowing your mind to gently relax away from the focused breath pattern.
Seeing if you can just let your body relax into this new baseline,
This new normal.
The shoulders a little wider.
Letting the heart shine out and up a little bit more.
And with time,
Your awareness,
Your consciousness settles back in.
To that place of stillness within you.
Good.
There's just a lot of energy moving and clearing along that back body now,
So we're just holding space for it.
Letting it find its way out.
Through the crown,
The feet,
The hands.
No need to focus anywhere in particular.
Just continuing to be right here.
And just traveling down now into the solar plexus within the ribcage.
And so the solar plexus is presenting really strong really beautiful,
Powerful.
It's kind of coming through as these tall African grasses.
They're golden.
That glimmer,
Yet have a strength in their flexibility and fluidity.
Just a reminder here in the solar plexus now is the difference between power and control.
Power and control.
Of clinging really tightly,
Trying to.
.
.
Force the outcome,
Even if that just looks like preparing for every option through rumination.
It's an element of control,
Very natural.
Through a desire to protect ourselves.
And how can we shift that into power?
Power.
Power has discernment of when to push and when to pull back.
Of strength and vulnerability.
Of knowing sometimes leading,
Sometimes following,
They all have their place.
And so the metaphor with this visual that your solar plexus is asking for is to focus on the roots.
The roots of this grass.
And that not every season is a season that bears fruit.
It's outward in growth.
So what does your system need to focus on the roots of self right now?
These lagging indicators,
If you will.
Which in a way is like the unsexy part of life.
The small choices that happen over and over again that someone else might not even recognize as your work.
Focusing on the roots.
To prepare the system for power and strength even more fully than it already is.
No season is the same.
And the roots are the stability.
Through the change.
Offering yourself the root.
Deep breath in and soft breath out,
Letting the physical body let go.
Bye.
I'm just moving down now.
To the sacral and the root chakras,
The womb space,
The pelvis.
These more tangible chakras.
And in these lower chakras.
The message coming through from your system is Hmm.
Essentially that even the tangible in your life This is work,
Money,
Food,
Relationships,
Creativity are tangibles.
Even those pieces want to link back.
Into the universe,
Into this flower of life.
Into this lattice that none of us can be separated from,
This spirituality.
Your root wants to circle back to the crown,
Dissolving into the world around you too.
And so we just invite in that idea,
The spiritual in the mundane.
That masculine in the feminine and vice versa.
The being in the doing.
The stillness in the movement.
Opening up your system for this wholeness.
Knowing that for you,
The root is not just the foundation but it's also another gateway back into that capital S self.
And universality.
At existential stillness,
Comfort,
Trust.
So just letting that message land somewhere on your body.
In your body.
Breathing into it,
Letting it nourish you.
Everything is,
In a way,
A spiritual opportunity.
The good,
The bad,
The ugly.
All the mundane.
That choice is ours.
Softening the body on purpose again.
And just moving to the feet now,
Bringing your awareness down to the soles of the feet.
I'm starting to imagine here that two beautiful golden threads of light Move in through the soles of the feet.
These golden threads travel up through the ankles,
The shins,
The knees,
The thighs,
And the hips.
And you see and feel these golden threads intersecting first at the base of the pelvis,
And again in your womb space.
And again in the ribcage.
And again in the heart.
And again in the throat.
And again at third eye center and then these beautiful golden threads travel up and out through the crown.
Where they dissolve into the world around you.
Taking a slow breath to see or sense this weaving of thread within you.
Wholeness.
And then gently mentally setting down that visual when you'd like.
Just coming back to the aura once more.
Hmm.
There's this sense of.
.
.
Steadiness.
In the aura now,
This wholeness.
Almost just like a flowing river.
That there is steadiness in movement.
So long as we don't try to push the river.
Nice and full and supple.
Steady.
Starting to just notice your breath again.
Noticing it moving in and out,
Starting to notice how the body opens.
And then it closes with each breath.
And noticing too how just beyond the body everything shifts in relation to each breath.
Your clothes,
The blanket,
The pillow.
Gently moving even in your stillness.
And then without needing to see,
You gently just start to sense that with each inhale,
Your body grows larger,
Taking up more space and you get closer to the ceiling,
The floor,
The walls.
Sensing your own fullness with each breath.
And maybe starting to bring a little movement into the fingers,
The toes.
And knowing there is absolutely no rush to come back into your space.
But just offering your eyes some light whenever you're ready.
Letting the eyes wander around your space,
Slowly starting to reorient.
And knowing there's no rush in bringing your eyes back here.
And Welcome back.
