Hello and welcome to day 16 of the mindful minute.
This is Laura,
And I'd like to tell you about a light visualization practice.
Go ahead and find a comfortable seat.
Close your eyes or turn down your gaze and take a few deep breaths in through the nose and out through the nose.
As you start this practice,
Visualize a light and it can be a light of whatever color is your favorite or whatever color you would like it to be.
This light enters through the crown of your head and as it moves through your body from the crown,
Through the throat,
Through the heart,
Belly,
Pelvis,
Down your legs and out your feet.
Feel the warmth and energy.
Feel it grow brighter and warmer as it spreads throughout your body.
Continue breathing,
Inhaling this light through the crown of your head,
Sending it out through your feet.
You can name each body part as this light moves through your body or you can simply breathe the light through you.
Imagine this light is healing and nourishing and rejuvenating.
Spend as much time here.
You can even reverse the practice and visualize the light coming up through your feet and exiting the crown of your head and see how that feels any differently for you.
