Welcome.
As you simply breathe,
Simply notice that you are breathing.
Notice that you exist.
Notice your weight pressing down into whatever is beneath you.
Weight given to you by the pull of the planet.
Without that tug,
Your weight would disappear.
Can you imagine yourself without that weight,
Free of the tug of the earth?
In addition to the tug of the earth,
Perhaps there is a weight in your mind or on your heart.
A weight you put on yourself.
Maybe just for a little while you can imagine yourself without those weights too.
Imagine yourself free of those tugs.
Can you imagine what it might feel like to float,
To fly,
To be weightless,
To be free,
Unencumbered by the tugs of planet and life?
We might think of our exhales as release.
Each exhale an opportunity to release something.
Something tying us down.
Something that gives us weight.
Something that no longer serves us.
You might allow your attention to rest on your exhales.
Perhaps allowing each single exhale to provide a measure of release.
Notice with each inhale you take that your body expands as it fills with air.
Notice that perhaps you feel just a bit lighter as you fill with life-giving air.
We might think of our inhales as expansion.
As a flowering.
A movement outward in all directions.
A communion with the universe.
Experience the earth below as insubstantial.
A pillow of air.
Air that is always vibrating.
Minute particles in ecstatic motion.
Poised here.
No support below.
No support above.
No support for the feet or hands.
No support for the mind.
Be completely at peace.
Allow each cycle of breath to make you lighter.
Weight falls away with your exhale and with each inhale you become more buoyant.
You might imagine yourself floating,
Free of the pull of gravity.
Perhaps free of other weights that have been holding you down.
Experience the space below as offering no support.
You are simply suspended,
Floating in space.
Structures of the mind release.
The reservoir of habits dissolves.
In an instant,
Lifetimes of patterns vanish.
We all have our ways of thinking.
Ways of seeing the world.
Ways of responding to the world.
We create these structures in our minds.
Our own logic loops.
If these structures work for us often enough,
We might turn them into habits.
And if those habits continue to serve us over time,
They might merge to create patterns of behavior.
How can we even know if the way we live serves us unless we're willing to step beyond our habits,
Our patterns?
Can we even know how much of reality they blind us to?
You are simply suspended,
Floating in space.
Structures of the mind release.
The reservoir of habits dissolves.
In an instant,
Lifetimes of patterns vanish.
Use your exhales to release structures,
Habits,
Patterns that no longer serve you.
Maybe even release some that seem to serve you.
You never know.
What might happen if you looked at the world from a different point of view?
It might take courage,
But you have courage.
Structures of the mind release.
The reservoir of habits dissolves.
In an instant,
Lifetimes of patterns vanish.
You might allow yourself to float.
Allow yourself to expand.
Make room for new experience,
New learning,
Maybe new ways of being.
Each inhale a celebration,
A step on the path of your future.
Allow yourself to continue to expand.
Allow each inhale to increase your buoyancy.
Feel your body as it opens to something new.
Feel your mind as it grows larger,
Able to encompass all that you can imagine.
Poised here,
No support below,
No support above,
No support for the feet or hands,
No support for the mind.
Be completely at peace.
Allow yourself a little more time for expansion,
For growth.
Maybe you can allow yourself to move beyond something that has been holding you back.
Maybe you can let it vanish.
You are free to float,
Free to fly,
Free to expand,
To release,
To see in a new way.
Allow yourself to be poised here,
Completely at peace,
Slowly and gently.
Let yourself begin to move back into this world,
Your body,
Your space,
Your place.
Allow a time of reconnection with the world through sound,
Through touch,
Perhaps through smell,
And finally through sight.
There is no rush,
No hurry,
Only a resounding peace.
Welcome back.
