
Guided Meditation For Deep, Healing, Restorative Sleep
This meditation for deep, restorative sleep is designed to help you fall asleep, stay asleep, or fall back asleep if you wake up during the night and experience unrest, stress, anxiety, and difficulty going back to sleep. This is a deeply restorative practice that will not only help you manage sleep or promptly return to sleeping peacefully, it’s also a very deeply healing practice that will support your body, mind, and emotions returning to a greater state of holistic balance and harmony.

Restorative sleep.
Sleep like a baby.
This meditation for deep,
Restorative sleep is designed to help you fall asleep,
Stay asleep,
Or fall back asleep if you wake up during the night and experience any unrest,
Stress,
Anxiety,
Or difficulty going back to sleep.
This is a deeply restorative practice that will not only help you fall asleep,
Stay asleep,
Or promptly return to sleeping peacefully.
It's also a very deeply healing practice that will support your body,
Mind,
And emotions returning to a greater state of holistic balance and harmony.
So let's begin.
If you'll find a comfortable place where you can simply lie down and rest your entire body from head to fingers and toes,
From front to back,
And side to side,
Relaxing into any position that brings you the deepest comfort and well-being,
Supporting the deepest possible healing at all levels of your being,
Gently,
Lovingly,
And mindfully moving your body around,
Adjusting any parts of your body that are not yet fully comfortable until you find this place of deep,
Deep relaxation within yourself that is always here and available to you when you unwind fully and completely.
And so,
Unwinding anything and everything you've been carrying,
Holding in,
As you become aware of it,
Unwinding all the holding patterns you tend to default to instinctually and that are holding you back from completely letting go and relaxing into deep,
Restorative sleep,
Becoming aware of any place within your body where you may be holding tension,
Contraction,
Constriction,
Blockages,
Old energy patterns,
Or simply feeling pain or discomfort,
Simply remaining aware of them and present with them as fully and completely as you are able in this very moment as you intend to let go and relax more without being in conflict in any way with the parts of your body that are quite there yet,
Simply surrendering into any tension or stress,
Surrendering into any feeling of contraction,
Constriction,
Stagnant,
Or stuck energy with the heartfelt intention of dissolving all of it over time,
In time,
Without force or pressure,
Without judgment or the desire to control,
Just awareness and presence with what is,
Through your intention and free will choice.
And as you find this place of comfort,
If you'll gently and lovingly close your eyes and disconnect from all the visual information that tends to trigger the neural pathways in your brain to fire up,
Activating your sympathetic nervous system and bringing up various memories,
Thoughts,
And associated emotions,
Choosing in this moment in time to simply relax your eyes and to allow any stored light and energy in your eyes to gently dissipate and dissolve as you recall your energy to yourself,
To your brain,
In a gentle,
Peaceful,
And loving way,
Momentarily choosing to slow down the flow of sensory input so that your brain relaxes more deeply and your mind becomes more quiet as you stop stimulating it and you sink into deeper and deeper presence and relaxation as the energy in your brain is gently contained and regulated and your brain waves continue to slow down.
Feel your breath relaxing more,
Gently shaking your body if that feels aligned in this moment as you breathe out and release any excess energy downward from the top of your head all the way down to your fingers and toes,
Sending,
Sensing a wave of warm,
Relaxing energy and well-being flowing down your body and relaxing your entire body along the way from the inside out and from the outside in,
Creating a reinforcing cycle of relaxation and well-being that takes you into deeper and deeper states of relaxation and well-being,
Continuously releasing any and all holding patterns,
Physical,
Mental,
Emotional,
Energetic,
And spiritual as they arise and you become aware of them without force or pressure through simple abiding presence and using your breath to support the gentle and loving unwinding of old holding patterns and energies as you surrender into the comfort of the bed that you're in,
As you sensitize yourself to all the ways in which you are already so very comfortable,
Paying attention to the level of comfort that you experience and reinforcing it through your intentional focus and choice,
Surrendering the weight of your body,
All tension,
Contraction,
Rigidity,
Or holding into the bed as fully and completely as is presently possible for you as you intend and envision yourself experiencing deep,
Restful,
Restorative sleep,
Breathing in calm,
Comfort,
And relaxation,
Breathing out agitation,
Discomfort,
And unrest,
Surrendering all that is not currently serving you,
All that is not the present moment,
And relaxing deeper and deeper with each and every breath,
Infusing deep peace and comfort into your breath and applying your most present and relaxed consciousness to your breathing so that your breath may carry you into ever deeper relaxation and presence,
Remembering how to breathe with ease just as you would if you were completely grounded,
Present,
And relaxed,
Choosing this state of grounded,
Relaxed presence and naturally dissolving any holding patterns in your breathing as you continue to consciously bring focus and attention to your breath,
Lovingly tending to your breath as you would tend to an infant as you continue to unwind into the present moment and become more fully present with your breath as a metaphor for becoming more present with yourself and all that is,
And as you reconnect with the ease and comfort that are just here when you let go and relax,
The infinite flow and natural harmony underneath the surface layer tension that we tend to hold,
If you'll feel into the comfort of the bed that you're in,
Feeling a deep sense of appreciation for this experience,
Feeling the comfort and nurturing energy of the sheets,
Blankets,
Pillows on your skin,
And the structure that is fully and completely supporting your entire body right now,
Sinking,
Surrendering into this feeling of comfort and well-being and becoming aware of all the ways that you are comfortable in this moment and are being supported into ever deeper comfort and well-being,
Comfort and well-being that you are choosing in this moment,
And inviting this level of comfort and well-being into every cell of your body and every part of your being,
Allowing your mind to peacefully notice all the ways in which you are comfortable and feeling appreciation and gratitude for the comfort and well-being you are inviting and choosing,
Inviting more comfort and well-being as a result,
Supported by the bed you're lying on,
Allowing for all muscular tension to continuously release naturally as you keep on winding and sinking into deeper and deeper relaxation,
Continuously inviting any and all energies you may have been carrying,
Holding in,
To flow downward,
Down from the top of your head,
All the way down to your fingers and toes,
All the energies and holding patterns,
Gently unwinding and releasing from your whole body and field as you invite this downward flow of energy and you continue to release any and all tension you may have been holding,
Relaxing deeper and deeper and remembering what it might have felt like to sleep like a baby,
Without a care in the world,
Completely present,
Without any expectation,
Feeling completely supported,
Without any pressure,
Have-tos,
Need-tos or to-dos,
Simply experiencing yourself as you are,
Fully and completely present in this moment,
And inviting a restful and restorative experience of sleep,
A complete break from the busyness of your mind,
Feeling what it feels like to sleep like an innocent baby,
Remembering simple,
Grounded presence,
Feeling into the parts of your being that are as innocent as a baby,
Dissolving any illusion about any other parts and embodying this untouched,
Pure innocence that is your essence,
The truth of who you are,
Maybe even traveling back in time to a time when your body was the body of a baby and relieving this experience right now,
Remembering as to embody this gentle,
Pure innocence,
Clearing the old grooves and habituated patterns of stress,
Worry,
Anxiety and holding that may have made sleep challenging for you in the past,
And returning to this state of presence,
Purity and innocence that allows you to sink into a deep,
Restful and restorative sleep that's deeply,
Deeply healing for you,
Getting out of the way of your own restful,
Restorative sleep and well-being as to experience this deep,
Deep healing right now.
And if you're still awake and aware of some remaining tension or sensation at any level of your being,
Body,
Mind,
Emotions,
Energy,
Spirit,
Gently using your fingers to caress the surface of your skin,
Lovingly caressing your face in a way that is soothing and relaxing to you,
Exploring self-soothing,
Relaxing touch,
Tenderly caressing your forearms,
Your hands,
Any part of your body that you feel would benefit from this gentle caress,
That would appreciate this gentle reminder of a time of intentional tenderness and care,
Feeling this love and gentle caress and the relaxation and well-being they bring,
Moving inward into each and every cell of your body,
All the way to your very core,
Moving ever deeper in,
Reminding you of your very essence,
That is pure love and care.
And if you wish,
Even mindfully holding yourself in a loving and nurturing embrace,
For no other reason other than simply remembering what it feels like to be,
To exist in this space and to fully embody tender love and care throughout your entire being,
Feeling yourself comfortable,
So very comfortable,
And breathing this comfort into your entire body as you sink deeper into the bed that you're in,
Until there is a sense of complete merging between your body and the bed,
No separation,
No resistance at all,
A complete surrendering into the bed that you're in,
And the total comfort that it provides,
One with it.
And this is not a mental or intellectual experience that you're having,
It is something that you feel,
That you sense,
In your deepest core and at all levels of your being.
Feel that completely and allow yourself to embody this experience of deep peace,
Comfort and well-being at all levels of your being,
Physical,
Mental,
Emotional,
Energetic and spiritual,
Continuously breathing into your body,
Breathing in ease and space,
Comfort and relaxation,
Opening up and unwinding anything and everything that has been wound up,
Bound up,
Preventing you from experiencing this deep stillness and silence,
That come with presence and the depth of relaxation available to you when you truly let go of the past and whatever you may have been carrying up until now,
And find yourself completely present with yourself in the present moment,
No future,
No story,
Nothing other than the present moment and what is,
Opening up to the present moment and all that it encompasses,
Aware that you are aware of any pattern of tension or holding as it arises,
Without trying to change it,
Control it or make it different than it is,
Surrendering to it,
Surrendering into it,
Simply resting in this awareness and continuously surrendering to and into any holding patterns in the body as they come up and manifest,
Without making any story about any of it,
Without projecting that it will continue to manifest in the way that it did a moment ago,
Simply feeling whatever is being experienced in this moment,
Accepting all of it,
Being present with it,
And through this grounded process of being completely present with it,
Attentive to it,
Tending to it,
Without reacting to it,
Suppressing it or even rejecting it,
Allowing it to naturally flow,
Transmute and transform,
However it does,
Gently,
Easily,
Peacefully,
Lovingly,
Into ever more love,
More ease,
More peace,
More flow,
More presence,
Even if this holding pattern may have presented itself with rigidity,
Pain or tension,
Simply being present with it where it's at and even describing it internally to yourself with detachment and non-emotional objectivity,
As to infuse it with neutrally balanced and harmonious energy and completely transmute and transform it into ever more flexibility,
Ease,
Stillness and presence.
Now,
As you continue to move into deeper and deeper states of relaxation and well-being,
If you'll affirm and visualize the deep healing and restoration that is taking place within you right now,
Allowing yourself to fully and completely connect with the benefits of the deep restorative sleep that you're inviting into the present moment,
Feel your body receiving all the benefits of deep restful sleep,
Feel all your cells receiving the deepest healing from this deep restorative sleep that you are inviting through intention,
Presence and surrender,
And your awareness and appreciation of deep restful sleep,
Visualize,
Feel,
Sense or imagine all of what is being set in motion right now through your conscious intention,
Momentum of the deep healing you are inviting and receiving and ways in which it will continue to resound and expand like waves flowing outwardly from the core of your being,
Expressing and echoing into time and space.
Now,
Throughout your sleep and in the future,
Visualize,
Feel,
Sense or imagine yourself waking up after this restful sleep,
Completely refreshed and rejuvenated,
So deeply relaxed and having received a deep and powerful healing as a result of your focused intention and surrender to your intention and maybe even expressing mentally to yourself how you will feel during and after sleeping,
Healing,
Rejuvenating,
Restful,
Peaceful,
Restorative statements and expressions of an inner state of deep peace,
Presence,
Balance and harmony and surrendering to sleep just like a baby.
You are not forcing sleep,
You're not afraid of not sleeping,
You're not projecting the implications of not sleeping,
Nor are you fighting yourself into sleeping.
You're simply choosing to be completely present with yourself and your intention to move into a deep state of restful,
Restorative sleep and choosing it in every moment without any judgment or expectation of any parts that are doing something else,
Simply inviting all parts of you to move into a deeper healing slumber until it peacefully and naturally happens when,
And as it does,
Restful,
Restorative healing sleep.
