Hello and welcome.
In this meditation we will be exploring how and why we contact our spirit guides.
Now there's a lot out there on the internet I'm sure and it would seem everybody has an opinion of what a spirit guide is,
The right way to contact them and the right way to receive guidance.
For a long time I resisted the whole concept of receiving guidance.
When I was learning Reiki my teacher would often speak about angels or guides from her perspective and I remember quite forcefully at the time telling her that I really didn't have any interest in that,
That I just couldn't comprehend it.
On my journey it's been low and slow and by that I mean that I've never really taken another's concept until I felt it for my own.
Now I still don't know anything really about all the particulars of all of that but I have come to trust my own feelings and I have come to see,
Trust and I've had my life enriched by the guidance I've received.
And when I look back to that time now when I said that to my teacher I can see it was more a reflection of where I was at,
Where my self worth was and ultimately where my ability to accept the limitless and unboundless amount of love that surrounds.
Your ability or your welcome or invitation to receive guidance is only ever as open as your heart.
Being guided to remind you that you are surrounded by love and also no matter how we might categorise or try to work out this world with our mind the foundational vibration or essence of this plane that we live on is love.
This was simply explained to me the other day in one phrase,
Fear does not exist in the outside world,
It can only exist in our mind and hearts.
So if you're ready we'll begin.
Breathing in and breathing out,
Breathing in and breathing out.
Feeling your body calm,
Feeling your thoughts calm.
As you come to this moment,
As you bring all of your attention,
All of your senses to you,
To right now.
Disconnecting yourself from your worries and reconnecting to yourself right here,
Right now.
And as you become aware of your own energy and given the nature of this meditation and the invitation,
You might start to feel or become aware of the energy of the room.
Pay close attention to your senses.
This is not an active process,
You're making a choice yes but almost hold in your mind the concept of doing nothing.
Sit back,
Breathe in,
Breathe out and just let the work do itself.
Know also and be safe in the knowledge that any guidance or interaction you receive is from your invitation to receive it for your highest good.
That old paradigm of psychic mediumship and tarot reading,
Of trying to perceive the future timeline,
Is slowly fading away.
And here I welcome you to ask and invite guidance,
Information and energy for what you need right now.
For what you need right now to get you back on the path of love,
Your path,
Your one path of truth.
So breathing in and breathing out.
We're allowing our bodies to calm,
We're moving our minds out of the way and we're bringing our attention to our heart.
So feeling that place in your chest,
Imagine that you're moving your breath and focusing it to this area.
So as you breathe in,
You feel a lightness and expansion and as you breathe out,
You feel a release,
A letting go.
I just welcome you as you breathe into your heart to imagine a colour and choose the first one that comes to you because that's always the right one for right now.
So as you breathe the air in,
Really feel the warmth,
The energy of that colour as it hits your nostrils or your mouth,
Travels to the back of your throat,
Down into your chest and almost like that colour is pooling,
Collecting in this place in your heart.
So breathing that colour in,
Feeling it collect and the warmth and the calm that it brings inside your chest and connecting to the outbreath,
We're going to imagine a thick black smoke or fog leaving us as we breathe out and this is just all the obstruction,
All of our ego that gets in the way of receiving what we need to know and the truth that fundamentally we already know.
All of the obstruction to that knowledge and guidance leaving our body.
So we're breathing in that colour deeply into our hearts and just releasing as we breathe out,
That thick black smoke giving it back,
Not identifying with that tension anymore.
Breathing in and letting go as you breathe out.
Now imagining that colour pool and collect in your heart,
Feeling that warmth and that rise in your chest,
That natural expansion into your fullest being.
Just going to imagine that colour creeping out,
Shining out from our heart and starting to mix and mingle with the rest of our body,
Kissing and holding every cell as it passes it and holds it in this colour inside our body,
Feeling it spread from our chest downwards into our stomachs,
To our backs and our hips down into our thighs,
Past our knees,
Lighting up our legs all the way down to the tips of our toes.
Breathing it up into our chest,
Into our shoulders,
The top of our backs and down into our arms and past our elbows,
Past our wrists and right to the ends of our fingertips.
And finally breathing it up into our heads through our necks,
All over our face and feeling any tension there melt away right up to the top of our scalp and into our brain.
Breathing in this light to every part of your body and again releasing as you breathe out.
This is you becoming aware of your energy,
Making a choice to hold your body in love and allowing it to come into tune.
The colour is like a frequency you see,
It's what you needed for you to bring you back to love and your truth.
And we're doing this so that we're nice and grounded and held and protected in this energy for the next part of the meditation where we welcome in that guidance.
Now I think it's much better,
Low and slow,
For you to learn and receive for you at your own pace.
Not to force,
But if you imagine that you welcome in a higher vibration or frequency of energy into your life,
Then it has to be at a pace in which you can work with it,
In which you can ground it and hold that vibration steady for you in all parts of your life.
The main message I get from Spirit or the Divine is that there's nothing grander than the day to day and that split second choice of where we put our energy to is the most precious one we have in each and every moment and it's a gift.
So still breathing in and breathing out.
Whether you're lying down or sitting down,
I welcome you to imagine a golden light above you.
A warm loving golden light descends and comes upon you and shines on you like a beacon.
You feel it instantly connect with your energy and you start to feel that increase in vibration and frequency.
You might experience this as a tingle,
As a warmth,
As an energetic awareness or a ringing in your ears sometimes,
But you do recognise it as being comfortable.
Not just emotionally and spiritually,
But also physically as you feel your body as one,
Like you're melting away.
Now you might have something specific in your life that you wish to receive guidance for or indeed you may not.
Whatever it is,
Hold that in your heart now and ask to receive what you need to know or to be shown for you and your highest good.
Connected to this golden light and trusting what you get.
You really have got this and you really are capable because who isn't capable to receive love?
At the very core of them,
Everyone is.
So breathing in and breathing out and releasing.
Feeling this golden light shining down on you.
For the next five minutes or so,
Receive the guidance that you need right now.
Come to an end.
Gently still involved with that golden light and just sort of soaking up and allowing all of that guidance and energy to assimilate with you and your body.
Just welcome you to come to your heart again and offer some thanks and some gratitude for what you received for giving yourself this time and who you are in your true beauty at your very core.
Just breathe that in and breathe that out for a minute more.
Being in the energy of gratitude welcomes in ever more guidance,
Ever more signposts on your journey to your truth and to being one with love,
The world around you,
Your fellow man and the divine.
Breathe into this feeling of gratitude and let it flow and set that intent for it to follow in the rest of your day,
Week,
Month,
Year and life.
As we come to the end now,
Wriggling your fingers,
Wriggling your toes,
Having a little shuffle in for your weight.
Opening your eyes whenever you're ready and taking that feeling,
That connectedness and that feeling of support that exists always,
Your ability to connect into the energy of love and expansion with you as your friend,
As your ever present guide.
Take your time here before you move on to the rest of your day.
Take the time that you need for you because it's always time well spent.
