It is said that consensual touch can provide a sense of calmness to certain bodily functions.
However,
Physical touch may not always be readily available.
The truth is,
The mind actually knows no difference between the imagination and reality.
It reacts the same.
So today,
I invite you on this self-loving exploration as you give your brain a big,
Beautiful hug.
If you have an essential oil collection,
Feel free to begin to relax by taking some nice,
Deep inhalations.
For this particular practice,
I highly recommend a blend called White Angelica,
Especially for those experiencing feelings or sensations of loneliness.
Taking a nice,
Deep,
Calm inhale here through the nose,
And exhale deeply,
Releasing.
Taking another nice,
Deep,
Relaxing inhale through the nose,
And exhale everything out that no longer serves you in this present moment.
Beginning to notice that relaxation flowing through you now as you take another mindful,
Relaxing inhalation through the nose.
And this time on the exhale,
Go ahead and close the eyes all the way down.
Good.
Allow yourself to begin to open up your heart space as you relax the top of the head,
Relaxing the tiny muscles next to the eyes.
Relax the jaw,
Letting it hang loose and slack.
Relax the shoulders,
Releasing them down away from the ears.
Relax the arms all the way through to the fingertips.
Relax the chest and the stomach,
Breathing easily.
Relax the hips,
The thighs,
Even the kneecaps.
Relax the calves,
The ankles,
All the way out through the bottoms of the feet and all ten toes.
Good.
Notice now that in this relatively short amount of time,
You have created a loving space for yourself.
That's right.
And even if it's just for now,
Allow yourself to be in that loving space.
That's right.
So go ahead and go to a loving space now and know that wherever you go,
Wherever you are,
That's absolutely perfect for you.
It may be a dream or it may be a familiar space.
It may be the most imaginative place that you could ever imagine.
Or perhaps it's someplace simple and is more of a knowing.
Whatever it is,
It is a space that feels safe and loving and is a creation that is absolutely perfect for you.
Good.
And now that you're here in this space of love that feels so safe,
Go ahead and see before you now a sweet little baby.
And notice now that next to this sweet little baby,
There is a blanket.
And it's the softest,
Sweetest blanket you've ever felt.
Go ahead and reach out to take this blanket.
And taking your time here,
Go ahead and wrap up this sweet little baby now.
That's right.
Follow the baby.
Wrap it up lovingly.
Tucking in hands and feet.
And watch as a wave of comfort and joy and relaxation washes over this baby.
And it feels so good to have helped this baby feel good,
Doesn't it?
Yeah,
That's right.
Go ahead and take this sweet swaddled baby somewhere safe and warm.
And go ahead and lay them down to rest safely.
And as you do,
Perhaps you sing them a lullaby or kiss them sweetly or lovingly rock them back and forth until they fall asleep with such peace,
Such love,
And such surrender.
You can see it on their face.
Good.
Now go ahead and bring yourself to a seated position now.
And go ahead and wrap your arms around yourself.
The left hand toward the right shoulder and the right hand toward the left shoulder.
And know that it doesn't matter if you start with the left or the right because whichever one is left is right.
Simply allow yourself to give yourself a hug,
To wrap yourself in a hug,
To swaddle yourself now.
And notice that you're able to pass that same sweet,
Tender love that you wrapped that baby up in to yourself now.
And as you do,
Become aware now that the brain is firing all those feel good neurons throughout the body.
All these happy little neurotransmitters taking you deeper into calm,
Deeper into relaxation,
And deeper into love.
Because the truth is you are connected to all that is.
And you are able to access that sweet,
Loving energy that feels just like a blanket.
Anytime you please by giving yourself what you need.
And it feels pretty good to give yourself what you need,
Doesn't it?
Become very aware of this loving sensation and happy brain neurotransmitters firing off inside you now.
And as you become aware of this love and these happy little neurotransmitters,
Go ahead and magnify and intensify that love now.
Magnify and intensify that happiness and magnify and intensify the sensations of calmness that come with it.
And as you continue to magnify and intensify these loving,
Happy,
Calm feelings,
Bring to mind someone in your life who could use a little extra love burst.
Perhaps it's you that comes to mind.
Or perhaps it's a friend or a family member.
It could even be a stranger or someone else entirely.
Simply bring that person to mind now.
Simply see them there in your mind's eye.
And as you place your hand over your heart,
Become aware that you are able to send a love burst directly from your heart to their heart now.
Okay.
Really see,
Feel and experience that love burst from your heart flowing all the way to their heart.
Noticing any sensations,
Perhaps where the hand meets the heart.
And it feels really good to share love,
Doesn't it?
Good.
Very,
Very good.
And once you've shared that love burst,
Just know that you're able to keep all the love that you need there inside your heart.
And as we get ready to come back to this time in this space,
Become aware now of just how much better you already feel.
Feeling so filled with love and calmness,
Feeling so joyful,
Knowing that not only are you able to tune in to that love that lives within you in that heart centered space,
But simply by wanting to,
You are able to magnify and intensify that love and send it to someone else.
And that feels pretty good.
Feeling so very calm,
Knowing that you can come back to this time in this space,
Wrap yourself in love and share that love either with yourself or with another directly from your heart space anytime you please.
Simply by closing your eyes,
Connecting inward and starting with a simple self hug.
Taking your time here now as you allow that love that you've cultivated to thoroughly flow through every single cell of your body,
Mind and spirit now.
And knowing that when you open those eyes,
It means that that love has successfully touched every single cell across your body,
Mind and spirit.
And therefore,
You're ready to love even more today.
