Take a nice deep letting go breath here,
Inhaling through the nose and exhaling out the mouth,
Relaxing,
Releasing,
And starting to let go as you do,
Inhaling through the nose once again,
Exhaling out the mouth,
Relaxing,
Releasing,
And really starting to let go here now.
Third time's the charm,
So inhaling once again in through the nose,
Exhaling out the mouth,
Relaxing,
Releasing,
Letting go as you allow the eyes to close down.
Just allow yourself to continue to breathe here,
Bringing your focus and awareness to your breath as you inhale and exhale,
Inhale and exhale.
Know that as you continue to focus on your breath,
The mind is becoming more and more present because as you focus on your breath,
Inhaling deeply,
Exhaling intently,
Those long,
Calm,
Relaxing exhales automatically send a message to that brain of yours that you are safe,
That you are calm,
And that you're here now.
So as you allow that to sink in,
Take another nice deep letting go breath as you relax even deeper and deeper.
Good.
In this place of relaxation,
Of stillness,
Go ahead and allow any thoughts that may remain here or any expectations of maybe what you should be doing or what's happening after.
Just allowing any thoughts or expectations or maybe even any concerns,
Allow yourself to see them now as clouds in the sky.
And as you continue to exhale intently,
Perhaps each exhale begins to send each cloud further and further out,
Drifting further and further away,
Drifting and floating until they're out so very far that they're no longer in sight.
And you're left here now with this beautiful,
Clear,
Calm sky,
Knowing that all is well,
You are safe,
And you're here now in this present moment.
And so allow the mind to drift and float its way to a safe and beautiful place.
Perhaps it's somewhere you've been before,
Like a beach or a mountaintop,
Or perhaps you've never been there before.
Perhaps it doesn't even exist and you're inventing it right now in your mind.
Whatever it is,
Wherever you drift and float to,
Wherever you land is perfect for you.
Just allow yourself to enjoy that beautiful,
Safe place that's perfect for you.
Noticing the colors,
Noticing any sweet fragrances in the air,
Noticing any sounds lulling you deeper and deeper into this beautiful,
Relaxed state.
And here in this beautiful,
Relaxed place,
A safe place,
Go ahead and notice that somewhere in the distance,
You see a wise man.
Go ahead and make your way closer to this wise man and become aware now that this wise man holds a lot of wisdom and he's come here today to share that wisdom with you because the truth is he knows that you're ready to hear it.
And so this wise man introduces himself to you as Hokusai.
And Hokusai says,
Look carefully.
He says,
Pay attention,
Notice.
He says,
Keep looking,
Stay curious.
He says,
There is no end to seeing.
He says,
Look forward to getting old.
He says,
Keep changing,
You just get more who you really are.
He says,
Get stuck,
Accept it.
Repeat yourself as long as it is interesting.
He says,
Keep doing what you love.
He says,
Keep praying.
He says,
Every one of us is a child,
Every one of us is ancient,
Every one of us has a body.
He says,
Every one of us is frightened.
He says,
Every one of us has to find a way to live with fear.
He says,
Everything is alive.
Shells,
Buildings,
People,
Fish,
Mountains,
Trees,
Wood is alive,
Water is alive.
Everything has its own life.
Everything lives inside us.
He says,
Live with the world inside you.
He says,
It doesn't matter if you draw or write books.
It doesn't matter if you saw wood or catch fish.
It doesn't matter if you sit at home and stare at the ants on your veranda,
Or the shadows of the trees and grasses in your garden.
It matters that you care.
It matters that you feel.
It matters that you notice.
It matters that life lives through you.
Contentment is life living through you.
Joy is life living through you.
Satisfaction and strength is life living through you.
He says,
Don't be afraid.
Don't be afraid.
Love,
Feel,
Let life take you by the hand.
Let life live through you.
As you receive this wisdom,
Allow these powerful words to sink into every cell of your body now.
Simply seeing and feeling these words sink into every single cell of your body now,
Knowing that as you do,
You are reminding yourself,
Body,
Mind,
And spirit of what truly matters.
Allow yourself to notice that you are alive.
Noticing the sensations of your body,
The rising and falling of your chest,
The thoughts or the lack of thoughts floating in your mind,
And your ability to both be here now and also somewhere else.
And as you become more and more aware of the life within you,
Allow yourself to feel that joy,
Feel that contentment,
Really feel that satisfaction that you are doing the best job that you can at living that life of yours.
And simply by allowing that life to live through you,
You allow the world to live inside you peacefully.
And that feels pretty good,
Doesn't it?
Knowing what a powerful force of nature you are now,
And allowing life to take you by the hand and trusting that what follows is absolutely perfect for you.
As you start to come back to the room,
Back to this time and this place,
Wiggling fingers and toes,
Bringing that full energy back up into the body,
Remembering just how beautiful and peaceful you are,
That joy,
That contentment,
That satisfaction living within you each and every day as you allow yourself to open the eyes and come fully back to this time and this place.
