
Be Open & Receptive To New Positive Thoughts - Guided Visualization

Are you willing to allow yourself to be receptive? This is a great practice for the analytical thinker! Today, our intention is to be open & receptive to new thoughts, specifically thoughts that serve your highest and greatest good. If we want to shift to a more positive mindset or simply try something new and different, it involves shifting our thinking. We are giving ourselves permission to release old limiting beliefs and embrace new updated positive thought patterns. The choice is yours!
Transcript
Go ahead and shift around in your seat and get as comfortable as possible.
Sometimes that looks like removing fabric from any folds or how it's sitting from underneath you,
Or shifting your seat,
Or maybe it's taking off a pair of glasses that you don't need as shortly you'll be closing your eyes and beginning to relax deeply.
So go ahead and do whatever it is that you need to do to get as cozy and comfortable as possible.
And let's go ahead and take a nice deep breath here together.
Inhaling through the nose,
And exhaling,
Already noticing perhaps the shoulders lowering or becoming present ever so easily.
And if you'd like,
You may close your eyes now because most people can relax better with their eyes closed.
So with your eyes closed,
I know you know this,
But you tend to be less distracted by things that are outside of yourself.
So just let your eyes close,
And I'd like you to continue to bring your focus and awareness to your breath,
To your breathing.
Really notice what it feels like each time you breathe in,
And each time you breathe out.
I invite you to notice the rising and falling of your chest.
Notice the change in tensions of the material of your shirt or your pants or perhaps a blanket or a chair,
Whatever it is that's below or around you as you inhale.
And notice that as you inhale through your nose,
The air is cooler as it enters your nose and warmer as it leaves.
And when you breathe in the air,
It's reminding you that it's room temperature.
But because you are indeed so powerful as you breathe out,
That air is 98 degrees as it's been warmed by that powerful body of yours.
In a moment,
I want you to begin to count your breaths,
Each one,
Either as you breathe in or as you breathe out,
And it doesn't matter which one.
And I'm going to keep talking to you while you count your breaths,
But I want you to just pay attention to the counting.
Take another deep breath,
And as you exhale,
Go ahead and let go of the worries,
Concerns,
To-do lists,
Or even expectations of the day.
Go ahead and let them go.
They'll be waiting for you if you want to pick them back up after this,
But you simply don't need them right now.
So if you haven't begun to do so already,
Go ahead and begin to count your breath now,
Counting each breath,
Either the inhale or the exhale.
And if you become distracted and forget,
That's alright.
Just bring your attention back and resume the counting.
And if you don't remember where you were when you forgot,
You can start where you thought you were,
Or you can just start over again at number one.
Share all of that to say,
Just keep counting.
As I talk to you,
Just pay attention to counting your breaths now.
And as you count and I talk to you,
There may come a time when it's just not important enough to keep counting.
And when you allow that to happen,
Just relax even more.
So as you count,
I'm going to talk to you about some experiences you might have,
And I'm going to also suggest various experiences to you.
As I talk,
You might find yourself responding fully or responding partially.
You might respond quickly or with some delay.
You might respond today or you might find that you respond tomorrow in ways that are most beneficial to you.
And you might respond predictably or you might surprise yourself.
I don't know how you'll respond.
How could I know that?
But I hope that you'll allow yourself to respond in ways that are helpful for you to be fully open and receptive to new thoughts,
New beautiful,
Positive thoughts that ultimately serve your highest and greatest good.
The truth is you know how to explain a lot of things.
And yet some things you don't know how to explain,
But you can enjoy them just the same.
For instance,
You don't have to know how a television or a cell phone or a loo or a phone or a phone or a phone or a phone or a phone or a phone or a phone or a phone or a phone or a phone or a phone or a phone or a phone or a phone or a phone or a laptop works to enjoy watching a TV program or a movie.
And you don't have to be able to explain the changes for good that you experience now or later today.
So later today,
And I don't know what time precisely that will be,
How could I possibly know what time precisely that will be?
But later today,
You'll have the opportunity to discover how really well you feel after embracing new thoughts and being open and receptive to new thoughts that serve your highest and greatest good.
And without any need to explain how that shift happened.
So it might be at 1pm or 4.
30pm in the afternoon,
Or perhaps at 8pm,
Midnight or 10am.
I couldn't possibly begin to know what time it will be.
In fact,
It may not have anything to do with actual time on the clock,
But it just comes naturally without paying attention to the time of day you'll just feel mentally in control and absolutely at peace knowing that you are connected and dialed into your highest and greatest good through beautiful new thoughts through that open receptivity.
When these changes occur,
You may or may not identify the changes as even having occurred as a result of our session here today.
But when the changes occur,
Whether now or later today or via your dreams tonight or perhaps next week,
Saturday at the strike of midnight,
You can just be happy and proud that they occurred.
Good.
So in the same way that you allowed yourself to be open and receptive to this moment here today,
Allow yourself to be receptive now.
I know you know how to do that.
So in the way that works best for you,
Simply allow yourself to be receptive now.
Even if it's just thinking the thought,
I allow myself to be receptive now.
I allow myself to be receptive now.
Go ahead and give yourself permission to release any old limiting beliefs.
Aware that those limiting beliefs are simply stories,
Like allow them to be released now,
Creating space to then embrace some new updated positive thought patterns that do indeed ultimately serve your highest and greatest good,
Whatever that looks or feels like for you.
Good.
I wonder just how good you're feeling right now already,
Even with just the idea in mind that you are indeed open and receptive to new thought patterns that serve your highest and greatest good.
And it feels good to feel good,
Doesn't it?
So go ahead and allow yourself to be receptive to these very true and very powerful statements.
As these very true and very powerful statements,
Plant the seeds of growth and transformation in that powerful mind of yours.
So go ahead and repeat out loud or silently in your mind after me the following very true and very powerful new thought patterns.
I am open and receptive to new and helpful thoughts now.
I relax into the flow of life and let life flow through me with ease.
I love and accept myself where I am now.
I am wonderful.
I am free.
I look ahead freely because life is eternal and filled with joy.
I observe my life with loving eyes.
I express myself freely.
I can speak up for myself because I speak with love.
I am free to take charge of my life.
The breath of life flows easily through me.
I joyfully accept life and let go of everything which I no longer need.
I release the past and choose to live in the joyful present.
I trust the universe.
Life itself supports me.
I relax,
Knowing the wisdom of life takes care of all details.
I seek only good everywhere I go.
I bless my body with love.
I stand in truth and move forward with joy because I am open and receptive to new and helpful thoughts that serve my highest and greatest good.
Good.
Very,
Very good.
And allow each of these new thought patterns,
These very true and very powerful statements to wash over you now.
Breathing them in,
Accepting them in,
And allowing them to flow through you as they cleanse you,
Purify you,
And align you with your highest and greatest good.
Good.
Good.
Very,
Very good.
Allowing these new thoughts,
These new ideas,
These new,
Very true and very powerful statements to upgrade that powerful mind of yours.
In the same way we update our phones or update our computers,
The truth is sometimes our minds need updating as well.
So go ahead and allow these very true,
Very powerful new thoughts,
New patterns to update in that powerful mind of yours now.
Feeling so good as that happens,
As you know you're nourishing your body,
Mind,
And spirit now.
As that continues to update in that powerful mind of yours,
I invite you to proceed through your day with this new lens that you see the world.
Good.
In a few moments,
I'm going to count from one to five.
And as I count up,
You'll become more and more alert,
More present,
Feeling like a new updated,
Upgraded version of yourself and absolutely ready for the activities of the day.
Feeling such a deep sense of love,
Satisfaction,
And trust that you are indeed in alignment with your highest and greatest good and your vision is as well.
Starting to come back to this time and this place now,
One wiggling fingers and toes,
Two taking a nice deep breath here,
Breathing in all of this progress.
One,
Two,
Three,
That's right,
Gently stretching the body,
Coming back fully to this time and this place,
Feeling so energized and ready to see the world with new eyes.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
The energy flowing up through the body now and all the way up with a smile forming on the face.
Five,
That smile shining brightly,
Already feeling so good with this upgraded mindset and eyes fully open,
Stretching the body,
Coming back into this time and this place,
Ready to shine your light in this world with this brand new set of eyes and upgraded mind of yours.
