Hello,
I'm Diana and I want to welcome you to this meditation,
Sitting with the ache.
I'd like to invite you to find a comfortable place to sit or lie down.
Let your body settle in a way that feels supported,
Nothing forced.
If it feels okay,
Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Take a slow breath in through your nose and let it fall out over your mouth.
And again,
A gentle breath in and a soft,
Unhurried exhale.
No need to breathe in any special way,
Just allowing your breath to be as it is.
You might notice there's a heaviness with you right now.
A sense of disappointment,
Or sadness,
Or maybe something harder to name.
Just notice what's here,
Without needing to change it,
Without needing to make it better.
Being let go by someone,
Even early on,
Can still land deeply.
There can be a quiet hope that was there,
A possibility,
A sense of what if,
And it's alright that this matters.
See if you can gently say to yourself,
It's okay that I feel this way.
Not as a way to convince yourself,
But simply as an acknowledgement.
This is how it is for me right now.
Bring your awareness into your body.
Where do you feel this most?
Perhaps in your chest?
Perhaps your stomach?
Your throat?
Just notice.
No need to analyse.
Just notice.
Just feeling the shape of it.
The texture of it.
If it feels comfortable,
Place a hand there.
Let your hand rest gently,
As if offering a quiet kind of support.
You're not trying to take the feeling away.
Just letting yourself not be alone with it.
Your breath is still here.
Steady.
Simple.
Present.
Present.
And this feeling,
As real as it is,
Is moving.
Even if very slowly.
Thoughts may come in.
Questions.
Replays.
What did I do wrong?
What could I have done differently?
You don't have to push them away.
Just notice them.
Like clouds passing through.
And gently come back to the feeling.
To the breath.
To this moment.
To this moment.
Right now,
Nothing needs to be resolved.
There's no decision to make.
No lesson you need to extract.
Just.
.
.
Just this moment.
And you.
Being with what's here.
You might notice that underneath the discomfort there's also something steady.
A quiet part of you that is simply aware.
Unaffected.
Present.
Present.
Holding all of this.
Rest there for a few breaths.
And when you're ready,
Take a slightly deeper breath in.
And let it go.
The surface beneath you.
The weight of your body.
Gently bring some movement back into your fingers.
And your toes.
And in your own time open your eyes.
You're allowed to take this gently today.
There's nothing wrong with feeling this way.
Till next time.
