Hi,
I'm Diana.
Welcome to this guided meditation.
We are going to float on a boat to dreamland.
Begin by getting comfortable in your bed,
So that you can just focus on this meditation and drift off.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose.
And gently let it out through your mouth.
Allow yourself to settle into a comfortable position,
Feeling the surface beneath you fully supporting your body.
Take another deep breath in through your nose,
Feeling your belly rise.
And as you exhale,
Notice a wave of relaxation beginning to wash over you.
With each breath,
Let yourself drift further into stillness and calmness.
Now,
Imagine that you're standing on the shore of a peaceful lake.
The air is cool but gentle,
Brushing softly against your skin.
Above you,
The sky is painted with hues of deep bloom,
And tiny stars are beginning to twinkle as the evening sets in.
You feel safe here,
At ease and completely relaxed.
Before you,
A small wooden boat gently rocks in the calm,
Crystal clear water.
Its edges are smooth,
The wood warm to the touch as the last rays of the sun kiss its surface.
You step closer,
Feeling the soft crunch of the sand beneath your feet.
Take a moment to look around.
The water stretches wide and still,
A perfect mirror reflecting the sea.
In the distance,
You notice the faint outline of trees,
Their tops swaying lazily in the evening breeze.
Everything feels serene,
Peaceful and welcoming.
You place one hand on the edge of the boat,
Steadying yourself.
With ease,
You step inside,
Finding the boat perfectly stable,
Perfectly safe.
As you settle into a comfortable seat,
A thick,
Soft blanket is draped across the bench,
Inviting you to sink in and relax.
With a gentle push,
The boat begins to glide across the water.
The movement is smooth and effortless,
As if the lake itself is guiding you.
You hear the soft lapping of the water against the boat,
A rhythmic sound that begins to lull your mind into stillness.
You feel the gentle sway as the boat glides further,
And with each passing moment,
Your body relaxes more and more.
Let the rocking motion soothe you,
Just like a cradle allows a child to sleep.
Now take a deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Feel your shoulders soften.
Imagine any tension in your neck or back melting away,
Drifting down through your body,
And dissolving into the calm waters below.
Notice the air around you.
It smells fresh and clean,
With just a hint of the earthly scent of the lake.
You feel completely present,
Yet at the same time,
A part of you begins to feel lighter,
As if the boat is carrying away the weight of your day.
As the boat drifts further,
The stars above grow brighter,
And the sky takes on a deeper shade of navy blue.
You glance up and notice the moon,
A soft glowing orb casting its light across the water.
The moonlight dances on the surface,
Creating a trail of shimmering silver that stretches ahead,
Guiding your way.
Feel the cool,
Crisp air brushing against your cheeks.
It's neither too cold,
Nor too warm,
But just right,
A comforting embrace from the evening.
With each breath,
Your body becomes heavier.
Feel the weight of your legs sinking into the boat.
Your arms rest comfortably at your sides,
And even your hands begin to feel soft and relaxed,
As if they've let go of everything they were holding onto.
The gentle lapping of the water is the only sound you hear now,
Each wave reminding you to let go a little more.
Let go of the day.
Let go of the thoughts.
Let go of effort.
There is nothing you need to do but drift,
And rest,
And breathe.
The boat begins to slow now,
Gliding effortlessly to a calm,
Still part of the lake.
You notice how quiet everything has become.
The stars above twinkle softly,
Watching over you,
And the water beneath is like a blanket of silk,
Wrapping you in its peaceful embrace.
In this stillness,
You feel an overwhelming sense of safety.
You are completely at ease,
Free to rest,
Free to drift off into a sleep that is deep and nourishing.
Allow your mind to imagine the gentle motion of the boat rocking back and forth,
Just like a lullaby.
Each sway brings you closer to the edge of sleep,
Closer to that serene,
Restful place where dreams begin.
Let your breath become slower now,
In,
Out.
With each exhale,
You feel yourself sinking deeper.
Your mind becomes quieter.
Thoughts float away like leaves on the water,
Leaving you with only calm and stillness.
You feel as though you are gently cradled,
As if the boat itself is holding you with care.
You are weightless,
Floating in perfect peace.
The soft blanket wraps you in warmth,
And you feel deeply comfortable,
Ready to let go completely.
In this moment,
Your body is fully relaxed.
Your legs,
Your arms,
Your chest,
Your face,
Your whole body is at ease.
Your breathing is soft and steady,
Like the rhythm of the waves lapping the boat.
Imagine now that the boat has come to a rest.
It's nestled in a safe little cove,
Surrounded by tall trees that shelter you.
You feel as though you could stay here forever,
Floating peacefully,
Letting the world outside fade away.
As you lie there,
You feel a deep gratitude for this journey,
For this moment of rest.
You let the last bit of wakefulness drift away,
Carried off by the gentle waves.
With each breath,
You sink deeper and deeper into a restful,
Restorative sleep.
And now,
There's nothing left to do.
Just let yourself drift.
Deeper and deeper into the warm embrace of sleep.
The stars above watch over you.
The boat cradles you.
The lake whispers softly,
Telling you that you're safe,
You're calm and you're loved.
Sweet dreams.
