Good morning and welcome to the artist's morning.

My name is Darius and I am so grateful that you and I get this time together.

Our practice today is a heart meditation.

More specifically,

Today's practice is an opportunity to slow our beautiful minds down and step in to the sacred space that is our heart.

For me,

The heart is a portal,

A portal to the infinite.

There is tremendous wisdom and guidance and support available to us through our hearts.

Let's begin our practice.

If your eyes are open,

I'd like to invite you to gently close them now as we begin to go inwards together.

Let's go nice and slow,

Beginning to take deeper breaths,

Signaling to our mind and body that we are safe here.

We are allowed to go slow.

We are allowed to rest here.

I always encourage with every meditation practice for us to make some noise on our exhales.

Take a deep breath in,

Making a little bit of noise on your exhale,

Letting it all go.

And that noise,

Our voice,

It's helpful to give it some space to be heard,

Even if your exhale is really,

Really quiet.

It's a reminder to you,

Your mind,

Your body,

Your spirit,

That your voice has space here.

Your voice has space here.

You're allowed to share your voice.

You're allowed to take up space.

And as we take deep breaths,

We're allowing new energy into our system.

We're clearing out old stagnant energy with our exhales,

Allowing us gently,

Easefully just to soften,

Ground our energy.

If you notice any place in your body,

You are holding tension,

Your forehead,

Your jaw.

I often hold a lot of tension in my shoulders.

This is your gentle,

Loving invitation to allow that tension to melt away,

Dropping our shoulders,

Softening our foreheads.

Maybe a small little opening in your mouth and jaw,

Allowing your face to soften,

Your shoulders and back softening,

Allowing these gentle softness to work its way slowly,

Lovingly down your hips,

Your thighs,

Your knees and shins,

All the way down to your ankles,

Your feet,

Your toes.

All the way through the tips of your fingers.

You are safe here.

We are safe here.

There's nothing you need to do here.

There's no way you need to be.

And no matter what your head tells you,

You cannot get this wrong.

And from this slower,

Softer,

More still place,

I'd like to invite you to connect intentionally with your heart.

Maybe you'd like to place one or two hands on top of your heart.

And we can breathe here together with our incredible hearts.

Hello,

Beautiful heart.

Hello,

Beloved.

How is your heart in this moment?

Remember,

There's nothing you need to do.

There's no experience you need to have.

You can come back to this meditation at any time and the answer to that question of how is your heart will be different.

My suggestion here is slow down and do the best you can to open your heart and then truly listen.

In this moment,

Right here,

Right now,

Are you available?

Are you willing to open your heart and listen?

The answer to that question is no,

That is a perfectly valid answer.

If opening your heart is not available to you,

I want to encourage you to just be with your heart.

Just hold your heart,

Be present with your heart.

I'm here with you,

Dear heart.

I will always be here with you,

Dear heart.

And if you are feeling resourced,

If you are feeling interested,

If you are willing to open your heart and listen,

Really listen.

We can do that together here,

It's really simple.

Take a nice deep breath,

Breathing in.

Hold at the top of your breath.

And let it all go.

Dear heart,

Is there something you'd like to share with me?

Dear heart,

Is there something you'd like me to know?

And then just listen.

There's no one way our heart communicates with us.

Sometimes my heart will share words,

Sometimes it's an image,

Sometimes it's a feeling.

I want my heart to know I am open to every which way it wants to communicate with me.

This is our last song,

Dear artist.

And if you are interested in connecting again with your heart,

Whatever that means to you and your heart,

I'm going to give you some space to do exactly that.

I'm going to stay quiet and meet you at the end of this song.

But before I do,

I'll share this simple prompt one more time.

Dear heart,

Dear beautiful,

Benevolent,

Incredible heart.

Is there something you want me to know?

Is there a message you have for me?

I am here.

I am ready.

I am open.

Bravo,

Dear artist.

Bravo,

Dear creator.

You made it to the end of another meditation.

And for that,

I am infinitely grateful.

Let's take one deep breath here together,

Bringing our practice to an end.

Breathing in.

Letting it go.

For those that are joining us live at the artist morning,

I'm going to share a journaling prompt and put 20 minutes on the clock and allow us to continue this exploration in this relationship with our hearts.

Of course,

If you're catching us on a replay or on insight timer,

You can do the same.

Put some time on your clock and see what's here and ready to be expressed through you.

Thank you once again for meditating with me.

My name is Darius and I will see you next time.

WoW! This meditation was deep and emotional. My heart was fully open and I felt an immense warm flow of love. The tears rolled down my face. During the last song the message from my heart was “You are loved” and I felt seen. This was such a lovely moving meditation to start my day. Thank you so much D. Also I really appreciate that you take the time for responding to my reviews/feelings, it makes me feel you care about the people who meditate with you. It’s special. I am so grateful for your support on my journey in this life. 🙏🏼❤️✌🏼

Well, I wept through that whole meditation. My heart feels broken. I will journal now and see where that takes me.

I love the intentional “architecture“ you give to your meditations, with movements of music and silence. It’s also always so healing to me the way you allow for the possibility that your prompt might not “work”, and say that’s ok and give an alternative. It keeps me in the space of self acceptance. This was so beautiful and moving. Thank you, Darius!

Loved this! My heart said ‘all you need is love.’ (I’ve often said: everything we need to know is contained in the words to Beatles songs.) Thank you, dear Darius 🙏🏼💝🌟💕

I feel as if you are opening the door to new ways of hearing myself. Today I heard that I mustn’t take on the responsibility of reassuring other people about the outcome of my imminent rescheduled operation. I must be grounded and here for me. Thank you Darius. I’m looking forward to learning more from you when I am a new woman ! Which hopefully will be very soon, 🙏

There was so much emotion going on in me during this meditation. Tears streaming, feelings of deep love, images of my mom, and then an overwhelming sense of peace. The tears are always going to come and go but that’s just part of my grief process. But I could feel love and also know that I am love! I have so much love to give and that brings in new light , more joy and happiness. I’m getting there. Thanks my dear friend I am so deeply grateful for you and helping me through this journey. 🙏🏻💕
