Good morning,
And welcome to The Artist's Morning.
My name's Darius,
And I am so grateful that you and I get this time together.
Let's begin our practice.
If your eyes are open,
I'd like to invite you to gently close them now.
As we begin to go inwards together,
Let's go nice and slow.
Beginning to take deeper breaths,
Falling into the hypnotic rhythm of the inhales and exhales of our body,
Signaling to our mind,
To our heart,
To our entire being that we are safe here.
We are allowed to rest here.
There's nothing needed of us.
Sometimes life can go really fast.
Sometimes life can feel heavy.
Sometimes everything can go right,
And that can also throw us off our center.
Today's practice will be an opportunity to come back to our center,
To allow any part of us that's perhaps still in the past to catch up,
To allow any part of us that's in the future thinking about what could happen,
To come back home here now.
And here now there's an opportunity to root our energy.
When we are rooted,
When we are grounded,
We are strong.
We are resourced.
When we are rooted,
When we are grounded,
Nothing can throw us off our center.
I want to put out an invitation for any part of you that's still in the past,
No matter if it's five minutes before this meditation started or five decades back,
We are lovingly inviting all parts back into here and now.
And as we do,
Your energy grounds,
It roots,
It's powerful,
It's resourced.
There is nothing more powerful than bringing our full presence into this moment.
There is nothing more powerful than bringing our full presence into this moment.
Let's take a deep breath together,
Breathing in,
Hold at the top and let it go.
One of my favorite affirmations to bring my attention back to this moment is,
I am here now in this.
I am here now in this.
I am here now in this.
What does it mean to you to bring your full presence?
When we slow down and allow ourselves to catch up to this moment,
When we lovingly pull all of our parts back into our center,
Into their home,
We have a lot more power.
We are a lot more resourced.
We are going to lovingly invite in any part of you in the future,
Thinking about what could happen,
What might happen.
Invite those parts of you back home,
Back to your heart,
Back to your center.
I am here now in this.
Sometimes I like to place one or two hands gently on my heart and push down as I say the affirmation,
I am here now in this.
What does here now feel like in your body?
Maybe it feels exactly the same as it did before and maybe you notice subtle differences or perhaps big differences.
When we slow down,
When we lovingly go inwards,
When we create a warm and compassionate world for all parts of us to come back,
Back to our center,
Back to our hearts,
We are setting ourselves up for the deepest love.
We are setting ourselves up for the truest,
Most joyful experience of ourselves.
Yes,
All of us will have challenging days,
Challenging moments,
And when all parts of us are working together,
Are rooted,
Are centered,
There's nothing we can't take on.
Everything is possible from this place.
Dear artist,
This is our last song.
Before I leave you with the music,
I'm curious when we access a more rooted,
Grounded place,
When we become more present with this moment right here,
Right now.
Is there something your heart wants you to know?
In this more centered place,
Is there something your heart wants you to know?
You're open to it,
All you need to do is take a few deep breaths and listen.
Let's take a deep breath to bring our meditation to an end,
Breathing in and letting it go.
Thank you,
Dear artists,
Thank you for going on another journey with me deep into our hearts.
For those that are joining us live at The Artist Morning,
I'm going to put 20 minutes on the clock and share a journaling prompt to help us continue diving deep into this experience.
Of course,
If you're catching us on a replay,
Perhaps on Insight Timer,
You can do the same.
Put 20 minutes on your own clock,
Get your journals out and see what's here and ready to be expressed through you.
Thanks once again,
My name is Darius and I will see you next time.
