Welcome to your session today.
My name is Shanna Moyer and I welcome you here into this space of nurturing love and compassion.
This session is designed to support you through the various stages of pregnancy,
Whether you are in your first,
Second,
Or third trimester,
Leading right up to the moment of birth.
Here in this space we create a sense of ease,
A sense of calm.
We surrender into what is and what will be and we learn to trust ourselves.
I invite you to listen to your body today.
What is it that you need?
Maybe there are extra pillows and blankets to support your growing belly,
Your back,
Any discomfort that you might be feeling.
Listen to your body today and get into a comfortable position that works for you.
You will get so much more out of your practice if you listen to and tune into what your body is saying it needs today.
So take a moment,
Get comfortable,
And when you feel ready I welcome you to close the windows of your eyes.
Start to breathe in and down,
Sending that breath all the way down to your feet.
We will spend time with intentional breath work in through the belly,
In through the space where you house and create life,
But for right now I invite you to draw that breath in and down to the feet,
The lowest point of contact that our body makes with the earth,
A space where we can get grounded and anchored.
Breathing in and breathing down,
Recognizing the contact that your body makes with the ground,
How supported you feel,
And I want you to keep this feeling at the top of mind.
Bring this into the various stages of pregnancy.
You are safe here,
You are grounded here,
And yes things are rapidly changing and your body is rapidly growing and stretching,
Creating and housing life.
You are anchored there at the soles of your feet as they kiss the earth,
Anchored down by your breath,
Breathing in and breathing down.
And on your next inhalation,
If it feels right to bring hands onto your belly or one hand on your belly,
One hand up on your heart,
You're welcome to do that.
This entire session is designed to support you during pregnancy,
To acknowledge that while it is beautiful,
It is also a massive transition.
There is change,
Yes there is life,
Yes there is beauty,
But there is a lot of transition and change that we as human beings require support for,
Are deserving of support for.
So bringing a hand to the belly,
Supporting your body and your baby,
Bringing a hand to your heart,
And supporting who you are as a human being,
And with your eyes closed,
I invite you to start breathing down first into your belly,
Then breathing out through your heart,
Breathing in to your belly,
Breathing out through your heart.
Keep with this pattern in through your belly,
Out through your heart,
And just listen in through your belly.
Your baby gets everything that it needs through you.
It is nourished through you.
It is loved through you.
Everything one person could ever want,
You so freely give to this child inside.
We're breathing in through the belly,
We're nurturing it,
We're growing it,
And we're breathing out through the heart.
What is it that you need?
Is the support that you're looking for emotional,
Physical,
Mental,
Or maybe a combination of all three?
Breathing in through the belly,
Giving everything that that baby needs right there,
Readily available.
Breathing out through the heart.
What is it that you need?
How do you need to be held with love and compassion today?
A few more cycles of breath.
In through the belly,
Out through the heart.
We live in this world that tells us that simply by existing other people will know what we need.
What we fail to recognize is the onus is on us to tell people what we need.
So as you breathe in,
As you breathe out,
A slight acknowledgement that we need to show up for ourselves.
If the support that you need is physical,
Simply ask.
If the emotional weight of pregnancy is too much for you to carry on your own,
Simply ask.
Ask someone to listen.
Ask someone to show up and support.
If the support that you need is mental,
The to-do list is getting too long and things are being forgotten,
Simply ask.
You are never a burden to someone else and you are deserving,
Especially now,
You are deserving of that love,
That nurturing and that support.
One more cycle of breath in through the belly and out through the heart before taking your hands and placing both over your heart space.

What support will you ask for today?
One more breath in through the heart and out through the heart.
In your own time,
When it feels right to you,
Allowing the windows of your eyes to come back open,
You are deserving of nurturing,
You are deserving of love and you are deserving of support.
All you need to do is simply ask.
